Dan + Shay star Shay Mooney’s wife, Hannah Billingsley Mooney, stole his heart right off the bat! The pair first connected through mutual friends in 2014 but didn’t meet in person until March 2015 when the country duo performed near the blonde beauty’s Arkansas hometown. The two enjoyed a whirlwind romance and became engaged in August 2016. A few months after their engagement, Shay and Hannah announced they were expecting their first child together.
“Growing up as we both did, in conservative small towns with traditional parents, we were terrified to confess our new status as parents-to-be,” she admitted about the surprise pregnancy via a blog interview. “However, despite the stress and the surprise of the situation, babies are blessings and we knew this child would be SO loved by all.”
On January 24, 2017, Shay and Hannah welcomed their son Asher James Mooney into the world! The pair then tied the knot October 20, 2017 in Arkansas and their wedding day is prominently featured in Dan + Shay’s “Speechless” music video. Bandmate Dan Smyer’s wedding to wife Abby Law is also featured.
The couple’s second second son, Ames Alexander Mooney, was born on Friday, February 21st in Nashville, Tennessee!
