In the heart of Nashville’s Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood, The Corner Wedgewood is a flexible, creative event venue designed for connection. With an open layout, adaptable atmosphere, and a schedule built to welcome everything from intimate gatherings to vibrant community events, it offers the space—and the freedom—for ideas to take shape. Here, every booking is intentional, every event has room to breathe, and every detail is crafted to make your vision feel at home.

A Venue That Waits for the Right Moments

Since opening, The Corner Wedgewood has hosted an eclectic mix of events: live music showcases, thoughtful panel discussions, intimate birthday celebrations, album listening parties, pop-up dinners, and creative workshops. Some nights, the place hums with a full crowd. Other times, a handful of people gather in a circle, and the energy feels just as complete.

“It’s not about volume for us,” the team behind The Corner team says. “It’s about intention. We want every event here to feel like it belongs—not like it’s been squeezed in.” You notice a creative vibe as soon as you walk in. The warm wood, the worn-in leather, the soft light spilling down from upstairs. There’s an easy buzz to the air—part neighborhood bar, part creative hub.

Drinks That Match the Creative Energy

The Corner’s bar program is as intentional as its space. There’s no generic drink list here—only creative, well-crafted cocktails that feel personal. House favorites like the Amnesia and Sidekick keep regulars coming back, while seasonal features surprise guests in the best way. Low-ABV and non-alcoholic options are given the same level of attention, proving that not every memorable drink needs a heavy pour. Every glass is the product of bartenders who care—not just about the mix, but about the person they’re serving.

Designed for Flexibility

The Corner’s space is adaptable in a way that many Nashville venues aren’t. Its open floor plan, adjustable lighting, and professional sound system make it equally suited for a standing-room-only concert or a small group brainstorming session. The bar is ready, the Wi-Fi is fast, and the staff is used to working closely with hosts to make the room fit the vision.

Hosting Live Music Events

Music is everywhere in Nashville, but The Corner Wedgewood offers something rare—a space where the music can breathe. Here, live performances aren’t background noise; they’re the main event. The venue books artists in that exciting space between emerging and about to break through, curating nights that feel raw, personal, and unforgettable. The performance gallery is designed for deep listening, with warm lighting, clean sound, and no distractions. Whether it’s a single release party, an invite-only showcase, or a private listening session, The Corner provides the intimate, intentional backdrop that allows both artists and audiences to fully connect. As a live music event venue, The Corner Wedgewood offers an intimate and refreshing alternative to typical music venues. The room has a cozy feel and enables direct connection and interaction with the performing artists.

Your Secret Weapon for Hosting

Built-in sound, projection, and ambient lighting give hosts a turnkey setup, while the atmosphere provides a backdrop that instantly relaxes guests.

The Indoor Cafe

Morgan Wallen is on an unstoppable streak in 2025, rewriting the record books and dominating the country music charts like no artist before him. With smash hits, sold-out stadium tours, and viral social media buzz, Wallen has cemented his place as the genre’s biggest star this year.

The Tennessee native’s album “One Thing at a Time” continues its historic run, spending over 50 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart. His singles “Man Made a Bar” and “Cowgirls” have each topped the Billboard Country Airplay chart, marking his 12th and 13th No. 1 hits respectively.

Streaming Giant:

Wallen is breaking streaming records too—Spotify recently named him the most-streamed country artist worldwide in 2025. His music has become a cultural force across country and mainstream pop alike.

Tour Powerhouse:

His 2025 tour has sold out iconic venues like Nissan Stadium in Nashville and AT&T Stadium in Dallas, making him the top-grossing country tour of the year so far.

Over 40 tracks simultaneously charting on Billboard

More than 15 billion global streams

6 tracks in the current Hot 100 Top 40

Morgan Wallen’s blend of country storytelling with modern production is connecting with fans in every corner of the world. As we hit the midway point of 2025, it’s clear that Wallen isn’t just having a big year—he’s redefining what success looks like in country music.

From Rejection to Record Breaker

Before becoming a chart-topping country music sensation, Morgan Wallen faced a major setback that could have derailed his dreams. In 2014, he auditioned for The Voice and joined Usher’s team before being stolen by Adam Levine. But Wallen was eliminated before reaching the live shows — a disappointment that might have discouraged many young artists. Instead, he used the rejection as fuel. Determined to prove himself, Wallen shifted his focus to Nashville, honed his songwriting skills, and signed a record deal that would launch one of the most successful country careers of the modern era. What The Voice overlooked, country fans would soon embrace wholeheartedly.

At just 32 years old, Morgan Wallen has already amassed an incredible 13 No. 1 hits and shows no signs of slowing down. His ability to blend heartfelt lyrics with a modern country sound has captured the attention of millions, making him a defining voice of his generation. As he continues to dominate the charts and break records, Wallen is carving out a legacy that draws comparisons to legends like George Strait. If his current momentum continues, Morgan Wallen may well go down as one of the greatest country artists of all time.

Dolly Parton If You Hadn’t Been There Lyrics

[Verse 1]
If you hadn’t been there
Where would I be?
Without your trust
Love and belief
The up’s and down’s
We’ve always shared
And I wouldn’t be here
If you hadn’t been there

[Verse 2]
If you hadn’t been there
Well, who would I be?
You always see the best in me
You’re loving arms have cradled me
You held me close, and I believe

[Chorus]
I wouldn’t be here
If you hadn’t been there
Holding my hand
Showing you care
You made me drеam
More than I dared
And I wouldn’t be hеre
If you hadn’t been there

[Bridge]
Oh, you are my rock (Mm)
A soft place to land
My wings, my confidence
You understand
You’re willingness
Beyond compare
No, I wouldn’t be here
If you hadn’t been there

[Chorus]
I wouldn’t be here
If you hadn’t been there
Pushing me on
When I was scared
I found God and you (And God and you)
Oh, for your loving care
And for giving me love
With more to spare
You made me climb
And top the stairs
I wouldn’t be here
I wouldn’t be here
If you hadn’t been there

I wouldn’t be here
I wouldn’t be here
If you hadn’t been there
Oh I wouldn’t be here
If you hadn’t been there
Mmm

“I fell in love with Carl Dean when I was 18 years old. We have spent 60 precious and meaningful years together. Like all great love stories, they never end. They live on in memory and song. He will always be the star of my life story, and I dedicate this song to him. ‘If You Hadn’t Been There’” Dolly shared on Instagram.

Dolly also shared a message to her fans, “I can’t reach out personally to each of you but just know it has meant the world to me,” she continued. “He is in God’s arms now and I am okay with that. I will always love you.”

Parton’s poignant farewell to her husband not only honors their personal journey but also resonates with many who have experienced profound loss.

Remember to share the Dolly Parton If You Hadn’t Been There tribute song with other Country Music fans!

“I learned to play guitar to my granddaddy’s favorite country songs from back in the day and the new album is a throwback to the era when I first became a fan. For this tour I was able to find some of my favorite artists and songwriters to join us, and singing with Ella every night will be a lot of fun.”

Collaborations and Industry Recognition

Green has also been making headlines for his recent collaboration with Ella Langley. Green has wrapped his own headlining Ain’t My Last Rodeo tour, bringing out Tracy Lawrence and Ella Langley with him. Combs joined Riley on his third No. 1 single “Different ‘Round Here (Ft. Luke Combs),” the title track to Riley’s 2019 debut album that he re-recorded with Combs after seeing how fans connected to it.

An avid sports fan, former athlete (Jacksonville State University quarterback) and outdoorsman, Riley is riding a wave of success after being named the Academy of Country Music’s 2020 New Male Artist of the Year, a former MusicRow Breakout Artist of the Year, a CMT “Listen Up Artist,” and one of CRS’s 2020 New Faces.

The Tanya Tucker Delta Dawn song was released in 1972,. Country music starlet Tanya Tucker was newly signed to the Epic Records label in 1972 when she recorded “Delta Dawn”. “Delta Dawn” is a classic country music tune that has stood the test of time since its release in 1972. The song tells the story of a young woman who is still waiting for her love to return, even though he has long forgotten about her.

Originally written by songwriter Alex Harvey and rockabilly singer Larry Collins, the song draws from the traditional Scottish song “The Bonnie Banks o’ Loch Lomond.” Before Tanya’s recording, Bette Milder sang “Delta Dawn” on The Tonight Show. Nashville producer Billy Sherill heard Milder’s performance, and wanted her to sign with Epic to record the song. But, Milder was already signed to Atlantic, so the song went to Tucker. This song reached #6 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart in 1972.

“Delta Dawn” tells of a 41-year-old Southern Belle who has since faded from beauty. She lives in Brownsville, Tenn. and regularly “walks down town with a suitcase in her hand / looking for a mysterious dark haired man”.

The Delta Dawn “encore version” became the most popular country music video of Tanya’s career with over 15 million views as of February of 2025. Enjoy the Tanya Tucker Delta Dawn audio videos below.

Tanya Tucker Delta Dawn Lyrics

Delta Dawn what’s that flower you have on?
Could it be a faded rose from days gone by?
And did I hear you say he was ameetin’ you here today
To take you to his mansion in the sky
She’s forty one and her daddy still calls her baby
All the folks around Brownsville say she’s crazy
‘Cause she walks downtown with a suitcase in her hand
Lookin’ for a mysterious dark-haired man
In her younger days they called her Delta Dawn
Prettiest woman you ever laid eyes on
Then a man of low degree stood by her side
And promised her he’d take her for his bride
Delta Dawn what’s that flower you have on?
Could it be a faded rose from days gone by?
And did I hear you say he was ameetin’ you here today
To take you to his mansion in the sky

“Delta Dawn” has become a staple of country music radio, and it has been covered by a variety of artists. However, it is Tanya Tucker’s version that remains the definitive rendition, and it has secured her place as one of country music’s most beloved performers. In conclusion, “Delta Dawn” is a timeless classic that has endured for over four decades. Its poignant lyrics, evocative melody, and strong musical elements have made it a beloved country music standard. Tanya Tucker’s powerful vocals and youthful charm helped to launch her career, and the song remains a testament to her enduring talent. More than five decades later, “Delta Dawn” remains one of the most recognizable songs in the genre.

The Shania Twain Man I Feel Like A Woman song was released first to country radio stations in March 1999 as the eighth single from her third studio album “Come On Over”. The song also won a Grammy for “Best Female Country Vocal Performance” in 2000. The song reached #4 on the Billboard Hot Country songs chart. The song is an upbeat, pop-infused country track that celebrates female empowerment and encourages women to embrace their femininity. Twain’s signature twangy vocals, catchy melody, and playful lyrics have made the song an anthem for women of all ages.

The Man I Feel Like a Woman Music Video: A Stunning Tribute to Fashion and Female Power

Directed by Paul Boyd, the “Man! I Feel Like a Woman!” music video is just as legendary as the song itself. The visual is heavily inspired by Robert Palmer’s 1986 video for “Addicted to Love,” where Palmer performed with a group of expressionless female models playing instruments. Twain cleverly flipped the script, putting herself in the dominant role while being backed by a band of male models dressed in sleek black suits.

Dressed in a black corset, thigh-high boots, and a top hat, Twain’s look became instantly recognizable. As the song progresses, she sheds her coat to reveal an even more striking outfit, emphasizing themes of empowerment and confidence.

The music video became the most popular of Shania’s career with over 464 million views as of February of 2025. Watch the official music video and see the written lyrics below.

I Feel Like a Woman!” is a celebration of confidence, fun, and embracing one’s femininity. The song blends country and pop influences with a driving beat, electric guitars, and an unforgettable opening riff. Lyrically, the song is all about letting loose and having a great time. Twain encourages women to break free from societal expectations, enjoy life, and express themselves however they want.

Shania Twain Man I Feel Like A Woman Lyrics

Let’s go girls! Come on

I’m going out tonight
I’m feelin’ alright
Gonna let it all hang out
Wanna make some noise
Really raise my voice
Yeah, I wanna scream and shout
No inhibitions
Make no conditions
Get a little outta line
I ain’t gonna act politically correct
I only wanna have a good time

The best thing about being a woman
Is the prerogative to have a little fun

Oh, oh, oh, go totally crazy
Forget I’m a lady
Men’s shirts
Short skirts
Oh, oh, oh, really go wild
Yeah, doin’ it in style
Oh, oh, oh, get in the action
Feel the attraction
Color my hair
Do what I dare
Oh, oh, oh, I wanna be free
Yeah, to feel the way I feel
Man! I feel like a woman!

The girls need a break
Tonight we’re gonna take
The chance to get out on the town
We don’t need romance
We only wanna dance
We’re gonna let our hair hang down

The best thing about being a woman
Is the prerogative to have a little fun

Oh, oh, oh, go totally crazy
Forget I’m a lady
Men’s shirts
Short skirts
Oh, oh, oh, really go wild
Yeah, doin’ it in style

The best thing about being a woman
Is the prerogative to have a little fun (fun, fun)

Oh, oh, oh, go totally crazy
Forget I’m a lady
Men’s shirts
Short skirts
Oh, oh, oh, really go wild
Yeah, doin’ it in style
Oh, oh, oh, get in the action
Feel the attraction
Color my hair
Do what I dare
Oh, oh, oh, I wanna be free
Yeah, to feel the way I feel
(To feel the way I feel)
Man! I feel like a woman!

Oh, oh, yeah, yeah
I get totally crazy
Can you feel it
Come, come, come on baby
I feel like a woman

Lady Antebellum Need You Now Lyrics

Picture perfect memories scattered all around the floor.
Reaching for the phone ’cause I can’t fight it anymore.

And I wonder if I ever cross your mind?
For me it happens all the time.

It’s a quarter after one, I’m all alone and I need you now.
Said I wouldn’t call but I’ve lost all control and I need you now.
And I don’t know how I can do without.
I just need you now.

Another shot of whiskey, can’t stop looking at the door.
Wishing you’d come sweeping in the way you did before.

And I wonder if I ever cross your mind?
For me it happens all the time.

It’s a quarter after one, I’m a little drunk and I need you now.
Said I wouldn’t call but I’ve lost all control and I need you now.
And I don’t know how I can do without.
I just need you now.

Oh, whoa
Guess I’d rather hurt than feel nothing at all.

It’s a quarter after one, I’m all alone and I need you now.
And I said I wouldn’t call but I’m a little drunk and I need you now.
And I don’t know how I can do without.
I just need you now
I just need you now.
Oh, baby, I need you now.

The “Need You Now” song was the title song for their “Need You Now” Album.

Cole Swindell You Should Be Here Lyrics

It’s perfect outside its like god let me dial up the weather
Got the whole crew here, I ain’t seen some of them in forever
It’s one of those never forget it, better stop and take it in kinda scenes
Everything’s just right yeah except for one thing
You should be here, standing with your arm around me here
Cutting up, cracking a cold beer
Saying cheers, hey y’all it’s sure been a good year
It’s one of those moments, that’s got your name written all over it
And you know that if I had just one wish it’d
Be that you didn’t have to miss this
You should be here
You’d be taking way too many pictures on your phone
Showing them off to everybody that you know back home
And even some you don’t yeah
They say now you’re in a better place
And I would be too if I could see your face
You should be here, standing with your arm around me here
Cutting up, cracking a cold beer
Saying cheers, hey y’all it’s sure been a good year
It’s one of those moments, that’s got your name written all over it
And you know that if I had just one wish
It’d be that you didn’t have to miss this
Aw you should be here
You’d be loving this, you’d be freaking out, you’d be smiling, yeah
I know you’d be all about what’s going on right here right now
God I wish somehow you could be here
Oh you should be here
Yeah this is one of those moments that’s got your name written all over it
And you know that if I have just one wish it’d be that you didn’t have to miss this
Aw you should be here
You should be here

Throughout the song, Swindell’s voice is filled with raw emotion and a sense of longing, making it clear just how much he misses his loved one. But despite the sadness and grief, there’s also a sense of hope and joy in the song, with Swindell acknowledging the importance of cherishing every moment with the people we love. In a world where loss and grief are all too common, “You Should Be Here” is a powerful reminder to hold on to the memories and moments we share with our loved ones. Swindell’s tribute to his father has become a universal anthem for anyone who has experienced the pain of loss, and it continues to inspire and comfort listeners to this day.

Remember to “share” the Cole Swindell You Should Be Here song with other Country Music fans.

Written by Howard Perdew and Kerry Kurt Phillips, “Pickup Man” is a playful, upbeat song that highlights the narrator’s lifelong love affair with pickup trucks. It humorously suggests that owning a truck not only provides utility but also enhances a man’s ability to attract attention—especially from the ladies.

Joe Diffie Pickup Man Lyrics

Well I got my first truck, when I was three
Drove a hundred thousand miles on my knees
Hauled marbles and rocks, and thought twice before
I hauled a Barbie Doll bed for the girl next door
She tried to pay me with a kiss I began to understand
There’s just something women like about a Pickup Man

When I turned sixteen, I saved a few hundred bucks
My first car was a Pickup Truck
I was cruisin’ the town and the first girl I seen
Was Bobbie Jo Gentry, the homecoming queen
She flagged me down and climbed up in the cab, and said
“I never knew you were a Pickup Man!”

You can set my truck on fire, and roll it down a hill
And I still wouldn’t trade it for a Coupe DeVille
I’ve got an eight-foot bed that never has to be made
You know if it weren’t for trucks we wouldn’t have tailgates
I met all my wives in traffic jams
There’s just something women like about a Pickup Man

Most Friday nights I can be found
In the bed of my truck on an old chaise lounge
Backed into my spot at the drive-in show
You know a cargo light gives off a romantic glow
I never have to wait in line at the popcorn stand
‘Cause there’s something women like about a Pickup Man

You can set my truck on fire, and roll it down a hill
And I still wouldn’t trade it for a Coupe DeVille
I’ve got an eight-foot bed that never has to be made
You know if it weren’t for trucks we wouldn’t have tailgates
I met all my wives in traffic jams
There’s just something women like about a Pickup Man

A bucket of rust, or a brand new machine
Once around the block and you’ll know what I mean

You can set my truck on fire, and roll it down a hill
And I still wouldn’t trade it for a Coupe DeVille
I’ve got an eight-foot bed that never has to be made
You know if it weren’t for trucks we wouldn’t have tailgates
I met all my wives in traffic jams
There’s just something women like about a Pickup Man
Yes, there’s something women like about a Pickup Man

After Joe Diffie’s passing in 2020, many artists paid tribute to him by revisiting his biggest hits—including “Pickup Man.” In 2023, country star Hardy released a revamped version of the song, introducing the classic to a new generation of country fans.

Newton’s version reached No. 4 on the Billboard Hot 100, No. 22 on the Billboard country music chart, The recording also earned Newton a Grammy nomination. Newton’s video for “Angel of the Morning” was the first country music video aired on MTV, debuting the day the network launched, in 1981. Newton recorded the song again in 1998 for her The Trouble with Angels album.

Origins and Success of “Angel of the Morning”

While Juice Newton’s version of “Angel of the Morning” is the most famous, the song was originally written by Chip Taylor and first recorded by Evie Sands in 1967. Merrilee Rush later made it a hit in 1968, but it was Newton’s 1981 rendition that propelled the song to new heights.

Juice Newton’s “Angel of the Morning” is a timeless classic that has touched the hearts of listeners since its release in 1981. The song has been covered by countless artists over the years, but it is Newton’s version that has become the most iconic.

The music video for “Angel of the Morning” perfectly captures the dreamy, emotional essence of the song. As one of the early music videos aired during the rise of MTV, it played a significant role in establishing Juice Newton’s visual identity as an artist.

The music video became the most popular of Juice’s career with over 128 million views as of February of 2025. Watch the official music video and see the written lyrics below.

Juice Newton Angel Of The Morning Lyrics

There’ll be no strings to bind your hands
Not if my love can’t bind your heart
There’s no need to take a stand
For it was I who chose to start
I see no need to take me home
I’m old enough to face the dawn
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me, baby
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Then slowly turn away from me
Maybe the sun’s light will be dim
And it won’t matter anyhow
If morning’s echo says we’ve sinned
Well, it was what I wanted now
And if we’re victims of the night
I won’t be blinded by the light
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me, baby
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Then slowly turn away
I won’t beg you to stay with me
Through the tears
Of the day
Of the years
Baby
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me, baby
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me, darling
Just call me angel of the morning, angel
Just touch my cheek before you leave me, darling

“Angel of the Morning” has remained a beloved song for over 40 years because of its timeless themes of love and longing. It is a reminder that even when we know that our choices may not be the best ones, we cannot always control our hearts. It is a song that speaks to the human experience and reminds us that we are all vulnerable to the power of love. In conclusion, “Angel of the Morning” is a song that has touched the hearts of generations of listeners. Juice Newton’s powerful vocals and the song’s haunting melody and lyrics make it a classic that continues to resonate with audiences today. It is a testament to the enduring power of music to capture the emotions that make us human.

Alan Jackson’s family: Alan and Denise

The month of December is extra important to country music icon Alan Jackson and his wife Denise. The high school sweethearts got engaged on Christmas Eve back in 1978 and exchanged vows on December 15, 1979 at Newnan Baptist Church in their hometown of Newnan, Georgia. The couple has been married for 45 years. Alan Jackson is now 66 years old (born October 17, 1958) and Denise Jackson is 65 years old (born January 7, 1960 in Newnan, Georgia).

The longtime couple has three adult daughters together: Mattie Jackson Selecman, Alexandra Jackson, and Dani Jackson. These two have certainly had their ups and downs, even temporarily separating in 1998 due to Alan’s infidelity and the pressures of his country music career. Denise penned a The New York Times Best Seller titled It’s All About Him: Finding the Love of My Life which digs deeper into her personal life, relationship woes, healing a marriage, and her strong Christian faith.

How Alan Jackson first met Denise

Alan first met his future wife Denise Jackson (yes, her maiden name is also ‘Jackson’) while they were teens and got her attention in a somewhat desperate way— he threw a penny down her blouse and asked if he could retrieve it. That move didn’t get Alan the result he wanted so he made a second attempt. Alan hid in the backseat of Denise’s car while it was parked at a Dairy Queen and jumped out to scare her as she drove off. Oddly enough, this strategy worked and the duo started dating. Next we cover an update for each of the three daughters.

Alan Jackson’s Family: Mattie Jackson (born June 19, 1990)

Mattie is now 34 years old and lives in Nashville, Tennessee.

He was a University of Tennessee Knoxville and University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law graduate. The Tennessee native was also employed as an Assistant D.A. by the Nashville-Davidson County District Attorney’s Office. Alan, Denise and family weathered the family tragedy together.

Lorrie Morgan Good as I Was to You Lyrics

She Drove up to the restaurant
Where they used to dine,
He was sittin at the table
With someone new this time
She walked up right beside him
Her face did not turn red,
She looked at him so calmly, and this is what she said:
Good as i was to you, is this the thanks i get?
Are all the years we shared, so easy to forget?
Does this mean that you’ve won?
Are you finally having fun?
Is she your dream come true?
Oh, she sure looks good, but she wont ever be
Good as i was to you.
The room got awful quiet, Everybody stared
Finally the waiter said, “should i bring another chair?”
She said “no i was just leavin’ ”
But as she walked out the door
She said “honey, you can have him, I dont want him anymore.”
Good as i was to you, is this the thanks i get?
Are all the years we shared, So easy to forget?
Is the way its done, lookin out for number one?
Did you think it through?
Oh, she sure looks good, but she wont never be GOOD as i was to you.
Does this mean that you’ve won?
Are you finally havin’ fun?
Is she your dream come true?
Oh she sure looks good, but she wont ever be good as i was to you.
Good as I was to you.

In conclusion, “Good as I Was to You” is a beautiful and heartbreaking song that showcases Lorrie Morgan’s incredible talent as a vocalist.

The Big & Rich Save A Horse Ride A Cowboy song was released in April 2004 as the second single from their debut album Horse of a Different Color. Big & Rich debuted their first single, “Save A Horse [Ride A Cowboy]” in 2004. The song gained widespread popularity after ESPN featured the song in commercials promoting the 2004 World Series of Poker.

Save a Horse Ride a Cowboy Music Video

The song is a musical fusion of country rap and rock. The song describes the arrival of band members Big Kenny and John Rich arriving in Nashville, heading straight to a bar and partying it up. Staying true to the song, the music video was filmed in Nashville during the summer of 2004.

The music video for Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy) perfectly captures the song’s wild, over-the-top energy. Directed by David Hogan, the video features Big Kenny and John Rich parading through downtown Nashville on horseback, accompanied by a lively cast of showgirls, cowboys, and even a marching band. The extravagant production, bright neon lights, and celebratory atmosphere reflect the song’s playful spirit.

Country songstress Gretchen Wilson is featured in the video, as well as Cowboy Troy. Dancers, a marching band, and a variety of other people are featured in the video as well, parading down the Shelby Street Bridge in Nashville. The music video became the most popular of Big & Rich’s career with over 27 million views as of February of 2025. Watch the entertaining music video below!

Written by Big Kenny and John Rich, Save a Horse (Ride a Cowboy) was born out of their desire to shake up the country music scene with something fun, bold, and unforgettable. The song’s lyrics celebrate a carefree, rebellious lifestyle, with lines about strutting down Broadway in Nashville, spending money extravagantly, and embracing the cowboy persona with a rock ‘n’ roll attitude. The playful hook, “Save a horse, ride a cowboy,” quickly became a catchphrase, adding to the song’s appeal.

Big & Rich Save A Horse [Ride A Cowboy] Lyrics

Dumb-de-de-dumb, de-de-dumb-de-de-dumb, de-daa-daaaaa
Dumb-de-de-dumb, de-de-dumb-de-de-dumb, de-daa-daa-daa-daa-daaaa!

Well, I walk into the room
Passing out hundred dollar bills
And it kills, and it thrills, like the horns on my silverado grill
And I buy the bar double round the crown
And everybody’s getting down
And this town, ain’t never gonna be the same

‘Cause I saddle up my horse
And I ride into the city
I make a lot of noise
‘Cause the girls
They are so pretty
Riding up and down Broadway
On my old stud Leroy
And the girls say
Save a horse, ride a cowboy
Everybody says
Save a horse, ride a cowboy

Well I don’t give a dang about nothing
I’m singing and bling-blinging
While the girls are drinking
Long necks down!
And I wouldn’t trade ol’ leroy
Or my Chevrolet for your Escalade
Or your freak parade
I’m the only John Wayne left in this town

When I saddle up my horse
And I ride into the city
I make a lot of noise
‘Cause the girls
They are so pretty
Riding up and down Broadway
On my old stud Leroy
And the girls say
Save a horse, ride a cowboy.
Everybody says
Save a horse, ride a cowboy

I’m a thourough-bred
That’s what she said
In the back of my truck bed
As I was gettin’ buzzed on suds
Out on some back country road.
We where flying high
Fine as wine, having ourselves a big and rich time
And I was going, just about as far as she’d let me go.
But her evaluation
Of my cowboy reputation
Had me begging for salvation
All night long
So I took her out giggin frogs
Introduced her to my old bird dog
And sang her every Willie Nelson song I could think of

And we made love
And I saddled up my horse
And I ride into the city
I make a lot of noise
‘Cause the girls
They are so pretty
Riding up and down Broadway
On my old stud Leroy
And the girls say
Save a horse, ride a cowboy

The song tells the story of a cowboy in a bar who is confronted by a group of bikers who mock his hat. Instead of backing down, the cowboy proudly defends the sentimental value of his hat, explaining how it represents his heritage, his father’s legacy, and the struggles of cowboy life. The lyrics build to a powerful message about respect, tradition, and standing one’s ground.

This song was written by Jake Brooks and was first released by Porter Wagoner in 1983.

Chris LeDoux This Cowboy’s Hat Lyrics

You know what
No matter how different we dress
Or look or talk, we all have a lot of things in common
That’s what this song’s about
I was sittin’ in a coffee shop
Having a cup to pass the time
Swappin’ Rodeo stories
With this ol’ Cowboy friend of mine
When some motorcycle riders
Startin snickerin’ in the back
Started pokin’ fun at my friends hat
One ol’ boy said:
“Hey Tex, where’d you park your Horse?”
My friend just pulled his hat down low
But they couldn’t be ignored
One husky fella said:
“I think I’ll rip that hat right off your head”
That’s when my friend turned around
And this is what he said
You’ll ride a black tornado
Across the western sky
Rope an ol’ Blue Northern
And milk it ’til it’s dry
Bulldog the Mississippi
And pin its ears down flat
Long before you take this Cowboy’s Hat
Partner, this ol’ hat’s better left alone
See it used to be my daddy’s
But last year he passed on
My nephew skinned the rattler
That makes up this old hat band
But back in ’69 he died in Vietnam
The eagle feather was given to me by an Indian friend of mine
Someone ran him down somewhere around that Arizona line
And a real special lady gave me this hat pin
But I don’t know if I’ll ever see her again
You’ll ride a black tornado
Across the western sky
Rope an old Blue Northern
And milk it ’til it’s dry
Bulldog the Mississippi
And pin its ears down flat
Long before you take this Cowboy’s hat
Now if your leather jacket means to you
What this hat means to me
I guess we understand each other
And we’ll just let it be
But if you still think it’s funny
Man you got my back up against the wall
And if you touch my hat
You’re gonna have to fight us all
Right then I caught a little sadness
In that Gang leader’s eyes
He turned back to the others
And they all just kinda shuffled on outside
When my friend turned back towards me
I noticed his ol’ hat brim
Well it was turned up
In a big ol’ Texas grin
You’ll ride a black tornado
Across the western sky
Rope an old Blue Northern
And milk it ’til it’s dry
Bulldog the Mississippi
And pin its ears down flat
Long before you take this Cowboy’s hat
