Country music group Lady Antebellum continues to embrace everything that life has to offer with the release of their new single “What I’m Leaving For.” Following their 10th career chart-topper and Gold certified hit “What If I Never Get Over You,” the heartfelt single is the second release from their No. 1 album OCEAN and expands on the universal message of making sacrifices for the people you love. Produced by Dann Huff, the song serves as a touching portrait of people who support their families while being apart. “What I’m Leaving For” will impact Country radio on February 18th and is available at all digital retailers here.

“This song really describes exactly where we’re at in our lives and the give and take to try to find a personal balance with career and family,” Hillary Scott shares in a press release. “Whether you are in the military, returning from maternity leave or just experiencing those tender-hearted ‘goodbyes’ we hope it resonates and evokes a piece of comfort in the example we set for our children.”

Lady Antebellum’s upcoming OCEAN 2020 TOUR will mix a hit-filled set with fan-favorites and new songs when it launches on May 21st in Albuquerque, NM, with very special guest Jake Owen as direct support along with openers Maddie & Tae.

“What I’m Leaving For” Lyrics

Keep those lights on
Toys on the front lawn
Disneyworld trip next summer
Used kit for our little air-drummer
Food on the table
Brand new cradle
For the angel that’s coming in a minute
This house and everybody in it

Got my bags packed, got my ticket
Got a heartache to go with it
Baby, kiss me, say you’ll miss me
Oh, while we still got time

Take a look at our little paradise
It ain’t much but baby, you and I
Picked the right stars, made the right wish
Ain’t nothing out there like this
And it kills me that I gotta go
Couldn’t do it if I didn’t know
That every time I’m walking out that door
You know what I’m leaving for

When I’m out there
I know I’m where
I’m meant to be picking them strings
And getting that small town to sing
On that last turn home
I can hardly wait
To drop my bags, kiss your face
‘Cause all I can do is stop and

Take a look at our little paradise
It ain’t much but baby, you and I
Picked the right stars, made the right wish
Ain’t nothing out there like this
And it kills me that I gotta go
Couldn’t do it if I didn’t know
That every time I’m walking out that door
You know what I’m leaving for, ooh

Oh, got my bags packed, got my ticket
Got a heartache to go with it
Baby, kiss me, say you’ll miss me
While we still got time

Take a look at our little paradise
It ain’t much but baby, you and I
Picked the right stars, made the right wish
Ooh, ain’t nothing out there like this
And it kills me that I gotta go
Couldn’t do it if I didn’t know
You know that this heart of mine is yours
(You know that this heart is yours)
Oh, and every time I’m walking out that door
You know what I’m leaving for
