Lady Antebellum has immersed fans deeper into their OCEAN album, out November 15th, with the release of “What I’m Leaving For”! Alongside the track’s universal message of making sacrifices for the people you love, Lady A brings the lyrics of “What I’m Leaving For” to life with a collection of personal family memories. Watch the music video below!

I wore out the demo for this song,” Dave Haywood shares via Big Machine Label Group. “I immediately related to it. It’s so hard stepping away from your family the way we do, and that song is such a great, beautiful way of articulating what we’re out here doing this for – our families, and those that we love and the fans that love us, too. This song is a beautiful picture of that push and pull of our journey.”

“What I’m Leaving For” follows the release of OCEAN’s four previously pre-released tracks including “What If I Never Get Over You.” Continuing to ride the momentum behind their new music, the multi-Platinum group was inducted into the Music City “Walk of Fame” in Nashville, TN on Tuesday (10/22) by Tim McGraw, as the community recognized the band for their unwavering dedication to the format throughout Lady A’s decade-long career.

“What I’m Leaving For” Lyrics

Keep those lights on
Toys on the front lawn
Disneyworld trip next summer
Used kit for our little air-drummer
Food on the table
Brand new cradle
For the angel that’s coming in a minute
This house and everybody in it

Got my bags packed, got my ticket
Got a heartache to go with it
Baby, kiss me, say you’ll miss me
Oh, while we still got time

Take a look at our little paradise
It ain’t much but baby, you and I
Picked the right stars, made the right wish
Ain’t nothing out there like this
And it kills me that I gotta go
Couldn’t do it if I didn’t know
That every time I’m walking out that door
You know what I’m leaving for

When I’m out there
I know I’m where
I’m meant to be picking them strings
And getting that small town to sing
On that last turn home
I can hardly wait
To drop my bags, kiss your face
‘Cause all I can do is stop and

Take a look at our little paradise
It ain’t much but baby, you and I
Picked the right stars, made the right wish
Ain’t nothing out there like this
And it kills me that I gotta go
Couldn’t do it if I didn’t know
That every time I’m walking out that door
You know what I’m leaving for, ooh

Oh, got my bags packed, got my ticket
Got a heartache to go with it
Baby, kiss me, say you’ll miss me
While we still got time

Take a look at our little paradise
It ain’t much but baby, you and I
Picked the right stars, made the right wish
Ooh, ain’t nothing out there like this
And it kills me that I gotta go
Couldn’t do it if I didn’t know
You know that this heart of mine is yours
(You know that this heart is yours)
Oh, and every time I’m walking out that door
You know what I’m leaving for
