Keith Urban Explains Nicole Kidman’s Ankle Mishap

Country music superstar Keith Urban shed some light on Nicole Kidman‘s ankle situation while chatting with Australia’s The Project show last Tuesday.

“About five weeks ago, she was running around the neighborhood, as she does, and just didn’t see a pothole and rolled her ankle and got a small break in her ankle,” Urban explained. “And so she’s been relegated to the boot for the last handful of weeks.”

Fans first got a glimpse of Nicole Kidman’s ankle injury when she attended Keith’s drive-in concert for first responders at the Stardust Drive-In Movie Theater just outside of Nashville, Tennessee on May 14th. Photos shared by others from that night showed the award-winning actress rocking a walking boot on her right foot. Nicole was clearly not letting her broken ankle slow her down or steal the show…

“Her spirits have been amazing,” Urban added about his wife. “I gotta say she’s been handling it way better than I would’ve.”

While Nicole heals, the star is thankful for all the concern and well wishes. Hopefully that pothole has been properly filled and won’t claim any more victims.

For now, Nicole and Keith are self-quarantining with their two daughters, 11-year-old Sunday Rose and 9-year-old Faith Margaret, at their Nashville home. Understandably, the pair look forward to being able to see their families in Australia. Until life normalizes at bit, Keith is finding creative ways to share his music and Nicole has joined forces with others to give back to frontline medical workers!
