Country music stars Garth Brooks and Tricia Yearwood teamed up to entertain fans with a Facebook Live concert! The stream was so popular— about 3 million viewers— that it actually crashed the site a few times! Before the show kicked off, fans were asked to share their requests via Facebook. Garth Brooks’ Facebook Live – “Shallow”
The livestreamed show was available exclusively to the people who joined in in real time, at 7PM ET on Monday, March 23rd. “You only get to see it when it’s going down,” the country music icon noted.
Fortunately, Garth did leave it up for a few hours and reposted the “Shallow” performance on Tuesday morning. We hope he posts additional videos since the platform experienced issues and we are sure his fans would appreciate more uplifting music as we all ride out these unfamiliar times!
The country music star has also announced that is Charlotte, North Carolina and Cincinnati, Ohio shows have been rescheduled for June.
“Like so many people right now, I just want to get back to what I do. Knowing these shows are eventually going to happen makes me happy,” Garth shared along with the update.

“Shallow” Lyrics
Tell me somethin’, girl
Are you happy in this modern world?
Or do you need more?
Is there somethin’ else you’re searchin’ for?
I’m falling
In all the good times I find myself
Longin’ for change
And in the bad times I fear myself
Tell me something, boy
Aren’t you tired tryin’ to fill that void?
Or do you need more?
Ain’t it hard keeping it so hardcore?
I’m falling
In all the good times I find myself
Longing for change
And in the bad times I fear myself
I’m off the deep end, watch as I dive in
I’ll never meet the ground
Crash through the surface, where they can’t hurt us
We’re far from the shallow now
In the shallow, shallow
In the shallow, shallow
In the shallow, shallow
We’re far from the shallow now
Oh, oh, oh, oh
Whoah!
I’m off the deep end, watch as I dive in
I’ll never meet the ground
Crash through the surface, where they can’t hurt us
We’re far from the shallow now
In the shallow, shallow
In the shallow, shallow
In the shallow, shallow
We’re far from the shallow now
