Country music star Thomas Rhett and his wife, Lauren Akins, doubled the size of their family last year by adding two adorable daughters to their household. It all started when Lauren met and fell in love with Willa Gray, a sweet orphan from Uganda, while doing humanitarian work. The couple had been hoping for a child and went through the international adoption process to bring her home to Tennessee.
While working to adopt Willa, the couple found out they were expecting and welcomed Ada James in August 2017. With Willa coming home in May and Ada making her debut a few months later, the couple experienced a lot of change in a very short time!
“Cannot imagine a life without my baby girl who made me a mama💗💗 I wish I could still swaddle you and hold you just like this😩💗 So thankful that Jesus gave me you, Willa Gray. Being your mama will forever be the greatest thing I ever get to do. I love you to the moon and stars cutie pie😘😘😘,” Lauren shared via Instagram on the one year anniversary of Willa coming home to the United States.
