Country music star Chris Janson‘s latest single “Waitin’ On 5” is a blue collar anthem that salutes a well-earned end-of-day wind down, and now has a  music video to go with it. Janson hit the Highland Rim Speedway in Greenbrier, Tennessee, for the socially distanced shoot alongside director Sam Siske. Featured in the video are the entertainer’s father, who fills his real-life role as an auto body painter, as well as his father-in-law. Watch it below!

“I have so much respect for the hardworking men and women in this country,” Janson shares. “I am proud to count members of my own family, like my dad and father-in-law, among them. This song and the video are my way of honoring what they and so many others do every day – and encouraging them to have a little fun when the job is done!”

“Waitin’ On 5” hit country radio in September following the success of Janson’s multi-week chart-topper “Done.” The song became his fourth No. 1 single, joining Gold-certified “Good Vibes” and “Fix A Drink” and 3x Platinum smash “Buy Me A Boat.” The road warrior is currently playing drive-in shows across the country, with two more coming up this month. “Waitin’ on 5” Lyrics

Hit it
Underneath a car, turning on a wrench
Out there on a farm fixing that fence
It’s like watching your team
While you sit on the bench
Waitin’ on 5 to start on 6
Out in the sun or in the AC
Two hours left when the hand’s at 3
If you’re wanting overtime, well sorry I’m sick
Waitin’ on 5 to start on 6
Everybody watching that tick tock tick
The slower it goes, the closer it gets
We’ll be cracking and popping and giving it a twist
Waitin’ on 5 to start on 6
Hey, hey, alright
Yeah we’re gonna have a little party tonight
Hey, hey, alright
Sipping and kissing somebody tonight
Sunday night comes and I’m getting depressed
Monday morning blues and my head is a mess
Friday rolls around and I’m getting that itch
Waitin’ on 5 to start on 6
Everybody watching that tick tock tick
The slower it goes, the closer it gets
We’ll be cracking and popping and giving it a twist
Waitin’ on 5 to start on 6, hey
I’d rather dig in a cooler, man, than dig in a ditch
I’m sick and damn tired of being somebody’s bitch
I been working all day, ’bout time to quit
Waitin’ on 5 to start on 6
Everybody watching that tick tock tick
The slower it goes, the closer it gets
We’ll be cracking and popping and giving it a twister
Waitin’ on 5 to start on 6er
Waitin’ on 5
Waitin’ on 5
Waitin’ on 5 when it’s time to quit
Waitin’ on 5
Waitin’ on 5
Waitin’ on 5 to get started on 6
Everybody watching that tick tock tick
The slower it goes, the closer it gets
We’ll be cracking and popping and giving it a twist
Waitin’ on 5 to start on 6
Hey, hey, alright
Doing our time ’til it’s time to quit
Hey, hey, alright
Waitin’ on 5 to get started on 6
(Party)
