Rhett started his comfy footwear collection about four years ago when he began playing more live shows on tours and was moving around a lot. Cowboy boots were too limiting, so he wore tennis shoes instead.
Over time, his sneaker collection became more of an obsession. He knows his pairs of shoes so well that he can identify them while blindfolded. Think we’re kidding? Check out this video from Billboard:
When Billboard asked Thomas Rhett how many new pairs of shoes he buys each year, he says, “Too many to count.” At least he can match his shoes with his outfit for each show. He’s going to need a bigger tour bus to keep up with his sneaker collection! We hope wife Lauren is willing to give up closet space for all of his shoes.
While Thomas Rhett’s shoe collection grows, his family is growing too! Wife Lauren is pregnant with a baby girl and the pair are adopting a baby girl from Africa as well.
