Country music star Dustin Lynch is giving a second life to a track first shared on his Tullahoma album, “Thinking ‘Bout You”! Lynch teamed up with rising country artist MacKenzie Porter for this passionate power duet with heart-pounding hooks and memory-soaked vocals that stir up nostalgic romance.

“This is one of my favorite songs from Tullahoma, and I’m so excited we get to shine a light on it in a new way with MacKenzie. We chose her voice for this version when my team and I reached out to our country music community for submissions from up-and-coming female artists. Not wanting to be swayed by any other factors, we got a folder of numbered MP3s and just listened,” shares Lynch. “It all pointed to MacKenzie. I fell in love with her tone – it was effortless and honest. Her voice is something that can’t be taught, it’s clear she was born with that talent. She was brilliant at bringing her uniqueness to this song, but also keeping it familiar for fans of the original.”

For the music video, Dustin and MacKenzie assumed the role of a former couple reminiscing over the phone, the moody clip is all-too-relatable as snapshots of a long-gone relationship flash into view. Directed by Justin Nolan Key, the intimate conversation by-way-of the Lynch, Andy Albert, Hunter Phelps, and Will Weatherly-penned lyrics ring straight to the heart of a broken connection. “Thinking ‘Bout You” Lyrics

Well, look who it is
Last call, I thought I’d get
How’s your mama, how you’ve been?
Girl, it’s been too long
Saw your sister at the Circle K
Heard baby number two was on the way
Hadn’t seen her since her weddin’ day
With you on my arm
It’s good to hear from you again
Girl what a coincidence

I was just thinkin’ ’bout that weekend out on Cumberland Lake
And that one time in Baton Rouge when we made out in the rain
Where we went chasin’ fallin’ stars on a hill at your daddy’s farm
Don’t be sorry for callin’ me up out of the blue
I was just thinkin’ ’bout you
I was just thinkin’ ’bout you

Hey, I just gotta say I heard your song the other day
And it put a smile on my face when I started reminiscing
I’ve been on the edge of callin’ you
And I’m so glad I decided to

I was just thinkin’ ’bout that weekend out on Cumberland Lake
And that one time in Baton Rouge when we made out in the rain
Where we went chasin’ fallin’ stars on a hill at your daddy’s farm
Don’t be sorry for callin’ me up out of the blue
I was just thinkin’ ’bout you
Oh, I was just thinkin’ ’bout you

If you’re ever back in town
Do what you’re doin’ right now
‘Cause I’m probably thinkin’ ’bout you

I was just thinkin’ ’bout that weekend out on Cumberland Lake
And that one time in Baton Rouge when we made out in the rain
Where we went chasin’ fallin’ stars on a hill at your daddy’s farm
Don’t be sorry for callin’ me up out of the blue
I was just thinkin’ ’bout you
Oh, I was just thinkin’ ’bout you
I was just thinkin’ ’bout you
Oh, I was just thinkin’ ’bout you
