Blake Shelton First Wife: The Story Behind His First Two Marriages

Country Music fans followed Blake's marriage and divorce with his second wife Miranda Lambert, yet don't know much about his Blake Shelton first wife . . .

Blake Shelton first wife was Kaynette Williams many years before second wife Miranda Lambert.  Blake Shelton’s marriages have included three important women in his life.  Blake Shelton married his first wife Kaynette Williams in 2003 and second wife Miranda Lambert in 2011.

Blake’s third marriage is to current wife Gwen Stefani.  The two met in 2014 as coaches on NBC’s The Voice and bonded over their mutual heartbreaks—Blake had recently divorced Miranda Lambert, while Gwen had split from Gavin Rossdale.

Their friendship blossomed into romance in late 2015, and they quickly became one of music’s most beloved couples. The pair often showcased their love through heartfelt performances and sweet social media posts. Over the years, they collaborated on several hit duets, including “Nobody But You” and “Happy Anywhere.”

Blake proposed in October 2020 at his Oklahoma ranch, and the couple tied the knot on July 3, 2021, in an intimate ceremony officiated by The Voice host Carson Daly. Their wedding took place in a chapel Blake had built for Gwen on his property, symbolizing their unique journey and deep connection. Since their marriage, the couple has continued to blend their lives, sharing sweet family moments with Gwen’s three sons while balancing their busy careers.

While many fans followed Blake’s marriage to Gwen, and his marriage/divorce from Miranda Lambert, they don’t know much about Blake’s first love.

The powerful country duo spent four years of marriage in the spotlight before Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert divorced on July 20, 2015.   Dual country careers does not make for an easy marriage.   Blake Shelton was busy touring and completing his role on The Voice TV Show while Miranda Lambert also had a busy tour schedule.   Miranda discussed her divorce from Blake in this interview.

Miranda Lambert moved on to date fellow Country Singer Anderson East for two years.  She then dated Evan Felker for 6 months.  The Turnpike Troubadours frontman Evan Felker served as the opening act for Miranda’s recent tour.  Evan and Miranda Lambert have parted ways just six months after their romance started, his divorce from estranged wife Staci Nelson Felker was recently finalized, and he’s reportedly having issues passing a painful kidney stone.  The Turnpike Troubadours canceled their final appearances on Miranda Lambert and Little Big Town‘s co-headlining The Bandwagon Tour.   Miranda Lambert went on to marry Brendan McLoughlin.

“It’s been just an eye-opener to be with someone like her,” Blake sincerely expressed. “Believe it or not, I mean, you think Gwen Stefani and No Doubt and she is literally maybe the most normal person that I’ve ever met in my life. It’s been good for me to be with somebody that’s so grounded and just a good human being with a great heart.”
