Sugarland teamed up with Taylor Swift to produce one of the year's most anticipated collabs, "Babe." Check out the brand new breakup tune here!

The Sugarland Babe song was released in 2018 on their “Bigger” album.  On June 8th of 2018, country duo Sugarland dropped their forthcoming album, Bigger. For the first time in the band’s history, their record featured another artist’s song. Former country music hit-maker Taylor Swift co-wrote “Babe” with Train frontman Pat Monahan and offered the track to Sugarland.

“We’ve never put someone else’s song on a Sugarland record, but we were immediately interested in ‘Babe’ the first time we heard it!” said Jennifer Nettles. “This one really felt like it belonged so we saved it for the final afternoon of our recording session; a special time for us.”

“Our last hours in the studio have always been good luck,” Kristian Bush added. “‘All I Want To Do’ was from a final session, so was “Stuck Like Glue.’ The biggest compliment was when she heard our take on the track and emailed us to say she wanted to be a part of it!”

Taylor Swift couldn’t be happier she partnered with Sugarland. Click on the Instagram video below to hear Swift talk about “Babe.”

“This collaboration is the perfect combination of mutual admiration for each other and mutual admiration for great songs. As artists, we really see the world through a similar lens,” Nettles continued.

SugarLand Babe (Audio Version)

“Babe” Lyrics

What a shame
Didn’t wanna be the one that got away, yeah
Big mistake, broke the sweetest promise
That you never should have made
I’m here on the kitchen floor
You call but I won’t hear it
You said no one else how could you do this babe

You really blew this babe
We ain’t getting through this one babe
This is the last time I’ll ever call you babe
This is the last time this is the last time
This is the last time I’ll ever call you babe

What a waste
Taking down the pictures and the plans we made, yeah
And it’s strange how your face doesn’t look so innocent
Your secret has its consequence and that’s on you babe
I break down every time you call
We’re a wreck you’re the wrecking ball
We said no one else how could you do this babe

You really blew this babe
We ain’t getting through this one babe
This is the last time I’ll ever call you babe
This is the last time this is the last time
This is the last time

Since you admitted it I keep picturing
Her lips on your neck I can’t unsee it
I hate that because of you I can’t love you
Babe
What a shame
Didn’t want to be the one that got away
How could you do this babe?

You really blew this babe
We ain’t getting through this one babe
How could you do this babe
This is the last time this is the last time
This is the last time I’ll ever call you babe

How could you do this babe
I’m here on the kitchen floor you call but I won’t hear it
You said I’m no one else
We ain’t getting through this one babe
I break down every time you call this is the last time
We’re a wreck you’re the wrecking ball
This is the last time this is the last time
You said I’m no one else this is the last time
I’ll never call you babe
