Rory Feek and Firekid performed this classic country tune while sitting on the porch of their Tennessee farm. Firekid is a duo band comprised of his daughter Heidi Feek, and Dillon Hodges. The group performs Townes Van Zandt’s classic country ode, “If I Needed You”. This song has been recorded by numerous artists including Emmylou Harris, Don Williams, and was featured on Rory and Joey Feek’s 2013 album, “Made to Last.”

It is nice to see Heidi Feek continue to pursue a music career as the Firekid Duo. Firekid was started by Alabama singer/songwriter/guitarist Dillon Hodges. Dillion was an early prodigy on the guitar and began winning competitions at the age 11. He started singing and songwriting in his mid-teens, and at the age of just 17 and won the 2007 National Guitar Championship bluegrass competition. After attending college in Alabama, he moved to Nashville to further pursue music. By mixing his bluegrass background, his love of Americana music, and elements of contemporary indie electronic and pop, he began performing as Firekid, Heidi Feek has joined Dillion on tour and the duo has been performing as Firekid.
