'Mike and Carrie: God & Country,' a four-part film series for I Am Second, will give viewers a new understanding of Carrie Underwood and Mike Fisher!
Country music superstar Carrie Underwood and her retired NHL star husband, Mike Fisher, are giving fans a deeper look into their personal lives through a four-part film series for I Am Second. Mike and Carrie: God & Country, which debuted on the night of Wednesday, May 27th via iamsecond.com and will run with weekly episodes through June 17th.
The short film series promises to cover the couple’s relationship, parenting their two sons, heartbreaks, and more while also addressing the question, “In all the ups and downs of life and relationships, how do you find solid ground?”
In the first episode, the couple reveal that they were not on the same page when it came to having children. Carrie admitted that she wasn’t sure she would be good with her own children until Isaiah was born in 2015. While the country star was unsure at first, Mike always wanted a big family.
“The first time I held Isaiah, I thought, ‘What did we do?'” Underwood shared.
Carrie and Mike have experienced so many joyful moments together but have also gone through a lot of private pain away from the spotlight.
“I just had an honest conversation with God. I was hurt,” Carrie shared via the series trailer about suffering three devastating miscarriages, “and I told Him how I felt.”
Her emotions just hit you in the heart.
As stated by the Mike and Carrie: God & Country press release, the docuseries will give viewers a look into the couple’s life together, their marriage and faith, along with how they continue to sustain their marriage and find purpose beyond their professional careers.
