Back home in Harrisburg, Illinois, Mason is known as “Little Hank.” Mason is an 11-year-old boy who recently became famous for the incredible yodeling skills that he debuted in his hometown Walmart. Even though it may seem like Mason showed up out of nowhere, we can reassure you that this yodeling prodigy has been performing in front of audiences for as long as he could hold a guitar. Mason became inspired listening to his grandfather, Ernest Ramsey, play Hank Williams in the garage. Mason heard the sweet yodels of Williams and began singing like the legend. The original viral video of the “Walmart Boy” has more than 17 million views on Twitter and has been retweeted more than 50,000 times.
Mason Ramsey said that his dream is to sing at the Grand Ole Opry. Shortly after his Yodeling Walmart video went viral, his dream came true as he was invited to sing at the place of his dreams. He chose to sing is viral Walmart selection, Williams’ “Lovesick Blues”, for his Opry Debut in April. Mason’s career took off as he scored a deal with Atlantic Records and Big Loud. His debut single, “Famous” has already 9 million spins on Spotify. Now, with his new and official cover of Wiliams’ “Lovesick Blues” fans are sure to go wild.
