Country music stars Kelsea Ballerini and Morgan Evans got married last December in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico and are both enjoying booming music careers. Evans recently snagged his first No. 1 hit in the United States with his romantic single “Kiss Somebody” and Ballerini was recently named the fifth coach on the upcoming season of The Voice.
“It’s awesome to have her to talk to, because she’s kind of stepped through it all a few times,” the Aussie shared with The Boot during the 2018 ACM Honors. “So, I can ask her about something, and she’ll totally understand.”
The pair have been nothing but open when it comes to communicating with each other and offering mutual support as their careers grow.
“I think probably the best thing we do for each other is be really honest,” Evans confessed, “because then when you say something nice, it’s real.”
Although both are enjoying their time in the limelight, life on the road and chasing their dreams does get exhausting.
“There’s definitely days when we’re both just dead tired,” the singer shared. “Or days when we’ve had, like, six hours hours of sleep in three days or whatever. It’s like, ‘Are we doing the right thing? Are we doing the right thing?’ And [the other person will say], ‘Yes. You are doing the right thing.’
“It’s cool to have someone who’s not just saying nice things,” he added, “but saying them from a place of total understanding.”
Morgan’s debut album, Things We Drink To, drops on October 12th. The upcoming album is available for pre-order now and reflects Morgan’s musical journey since his move from Australia to Nashville, Tennessee three years ago.
Kelsea and Morgan have certainly learned quickly when it comes to striking a healthy work-life balance. These two are having the time of their lives and couldn’t be any cuter!
