Rising country music star Kane Brown didn’t pen “Heaven,” Shy Carter, Matthew McGinn and Lindsay Rimes did, but he connected with it immediately. Brown first heard the song during a writers retreat, “So my buddy Shy Carter started singing it to me, and his voice is amazing, but also the song just really hit me and made me feel close to it,” the artist shared last November. “Heaven” is a love song that expresses the feeling of being in love with someone who feels like a blessing from above.
“It really made me think about my fiancee,” he added. “So I was like, ‘There’s got to be other people that can relate to this song.'” The romantic tune is featured as the final track on the deluxe edition of his self-titled debut album.
