As reported by KSBY-TV on September 19th, members of country music star Josh Turner’s crew were involved in a serious tour bus crash after a show in Paso Robles, California. Josh Turner and his band were on a separate bus and not injured. The accident occurred around 11:45 p.m. on Highway 46 near Mcmillan Canyon while the group was traveling to Washington. First responders report the bus left the road, launched off an 80 foot cliff, and landed in a riverbed below.
Due to the impact, two passengers were ejected and one died as a result. Several other passengers suffered major injuries and were transported to local hospitals. The tour bus driver was successful extracted from the wreckage and flown to a trauma center in Fresno, California.

Josh shared the following heartfelt message on September 24th via Facebook:
“As I try to write this I don’t know what to say. It’s a struggle to put into words the devastation and grief that our road family is trying to process. We lost a beloved member of our team, David Turner. He was like a brother to so many in this industry and a devoted husband, father and grandfather. Please continue to keep David’s family in your prayers.
All of our crew suffered significant injuries and many have long roads to recovery. I would ask that you give them privacy during this time.
