Country music singer-songwriter Jason Aldean's diet has undergone an overhaul! More on the changes the superstar has made...

Country music superstar Jason Aldean‘s diet has become a huge part of his live show. Without the proper nutritional balance and support, he wouldn’t be able to give his all to his fans night after night!

In preparation for his latest tour, the 42-year-old met with a nutritionist to look over his habits and figure out how to improve his lifestyle.

“Being on the road, you just fall into this groove of just eatin’ like crap all the time,” Aldean shared in a recent interview with ABC News. “[Eating] at the wrong time of day … when you come off stage at night.”

To stop himself from making bad food choices, the star committed to sticking with a more balanced meal plan and actually ended up eating more food overall— the right kinds though. “All of the sudden, [my] metabolism fired back up,” he added. “I’m back more to [what] my normal size would be now.”

Protein and vegetables are what his meal plans focus on while his carbohydrate and and sugar intake has been greatly reduced.

“Playing shows and traveling as much as we do takes a lot out of you energy wise,” the Georgia native told Parade. “When you feel good, you have more fun out there. And to me that’s what it was all about.”

Drinking enough water, taking daily vitamins, and making sure he gets adequate sleep has also helped Aldean stay healthy. Fortunately, the star has an on-the-road chef to help keep Jason Aldean’s diet changes going even while living on a tour bus.
