Dierks Bentley’s New Puppy, ‘Goose,’ Has Stolen His Heart [Videos/ Pic]

While recently performing on the Today Show, country music star Dierks Bentley found himself being drawn in by a rescue pup being featured on the morning program! The father of three children (Evie, Jordan, Knox) and two dogs already, was also a part of a segment about shelter dogs. After peering into the sweet brown eyes of the border collie mix named “Goose” and lovingly holding him and petting him, he couldn’t resist and decided to adopt him. “I’ve been texting back-and-forth with my wife and kids,” he said during a conversation with hosts Jenna Bush Hager and Willie Geist, while the dog’s adoption paperwork was being taken care of. “They really want a third dog. My wife [Cassidy] for her birthday said, ‘All I want is a third dog.’”

“I feel a connection,” he explained. “I feel it’s meant to be.”

The musician said that his three children were already “jumping up and down” with excitement, and so they decided to fly to Jones Beach for Dierks’ show over the weekend to meet the new member of the Bentley family.

It looks like Goose is totally into being a Bentley!
