Country music star Josh Turner’s family includes wife Jennifer and their four sons— Hampton, Colby, Marion, Hawke. When it comes to the holidays, the artist admits that it’s
easier for their extended families to come to them rather than traveling. However, since the boys are used to being on the road throughout the year, they really have traveling as a group down to a science.
“We have kind of made it a point to be at home at Christmas, ‘cause we want the boys to grow up with memories of being at home for Christmas, instead of traveling around going to this place and that place,” Josh explains. “It’s definitely a lot easier when people come to us, but we have no problem going somewhere too.”
Josh Turner’s Family
One thing he has to have on the table wherever he is celebrating Christmas is his father’s fried turkey. “My favorite food to eat at Christmas time is probably the fried turkey that my daddy makes every year,” Turner says. “He started that several years back, and it became a hit with our family, and so he ended up doing it.”
When it comes to the type of tree the family puts up— it’s the real thing!
“We used to have a fake tree for several years, but we’ve kinda gone back to having a real tree, and it’s just, I don’t know, hard to beat that smell,” the star adds.

“I Saw The Light” Lyrics
I wandered so aimless life filled with sin
I wouldn’t let my dear Savior in
Then Jesus came like a stranger in the night
Praise the Lord, I saw the light
I saw the light, I saw the light
No more darkness, no more night
Now I’m so happy, no sorrow in sight
Praise the Lord, I saw the light
Just like a blind man I wandered alone
Worries and fears I claimed for my own
Then like the blind man that God gave back his sight
Praise the Lord, I saw the light
I saw the light, I saw the light
No more darkness, no more night
Now I’m so happy, no sorrow in sight
Praise the Lord, I saw the light
I was a fool to wander and stray
Straight is the gate and narrow’s the way
Now I have traded the wrong for the right
Praise the Lord, I saw the light
I saw the light, I saw the light
No more darkness, no more night
Now I’m so happy, no sorrow in sight
Praise the Lord, I saw the light
Praise the Lord, I saw the light
Praise the Lord, I saw the light
