Thanksgiving is the perfect time to slow down and enjoy time with family— and that’s what country music superstar Carrie Underwood looks forward to the most!
In a recent interview with CMT‘s Cody Alan, Carrie shared the following, “I am thankful for, definitely my family. I just have the best. The best kid in the world and another one on the way. I’m thankful that my busy season is about to slow down and I am going to get to really spend some time with them.”
Carrie, husband Mike Fisher, and 3-year-old son Isaiah are more thankful now than ever! The family of three has another little boy on the way! During the 2018 CMA Awards’ opening monologue the star and co-host Brad Paisley upheld their tradition of revealing the gender of Carrie’s children at the awards show.
Getting to this point, however, was not easy. Carrie experienced three heartbreaking miscarriages while trying to expand her family. She even had a scary close call when she believed she was experiencing a fourth miscarriage.
“I was like, ‘Why on Earth do I keep getting pregnant if I can’t have a kid? Like, what is this? Shut the door. Like, do something. Either shut the door or let me have a kid.’ And for the first time, I feel like I actually I told God how I felt. And I feel, like, we’re supposed to do that. That was like a Saturday – and the Monday I went to the doctor to, like, confirm, another miscarriage. And they told me everything was great!” Carrie candidly shared and firmly believes that God listened to her and answered her prayers!
We are so excited for Carrie, Mike, and Isaiah and hope they have the best Thanksgiving ever! Share this update with other fans of the ‘Female Vocalist of the Year’ winner.
