During the 2018 CMA Awards, co-hosts Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley bantered back and forth about the gender of the songstress’ second child with husband Mike Fisher. Of course, Brad just had to throw in some jokes about the baby’s paternity.
“Seriously Carrie, give me a little baby hint,” Paisley teased. “Johnny or June? Keith or Nicole? Garth or Trisha? Tim or Faith? George or Tammy?”
The Oklahoman kept mum until he got to “Waylon or Willie?”
“What? That doesn’t even make sense,” she said of the two male name options.
Eventually, Carrie answered with “Oh, my gosh … Willie. It’s a Willie, OK?”

While viewers weren’t 100 percent sure if Carrie was indeed confirming her baby’s gender or if it was just a playful ruse, the star confirmed that she and Mike are indeed having another baby boy while backstage.
“We were just so excited. It took us a while to get here, and we were just feeling so blessed,” Underwood shared with Taste of Country behind the scenes. “And then to find out Isaiah is going to have a baby brother, it was just great news.”
On top of sharing her happy news and co-hosting the show, Carrie also won ‘Female Vocalist of the Year’ and performed “Love Wins.” Watch highlights from her big night below!
