NBC's 'Sunday Night Football' is getting a new sound thanks to Carrie Underwood!

Sunday Night Football is getting a new tune! Come September 11th when the New England Patriots and Arizona Cardinals take the field, Carrie Underwood will kick off the event with a brand new theme song for those viewers at home.

The new theme song for TV’s highest rated program will be a re-worked version of Carrie Underwood’s hit 2014 duet with Miranda Lambert, “Somethin’ Bad.”

NBC has been using “Waiting All Day For Sunday Night” as their theme song since 2006. Carrie Underwood became the voice of this song in 2013, and now her own work will become the sound of Sunday Night Football.

Check out the teaser for the new theme song here:

Last year’s Super Bowl teams, the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos, will kick off this year’s NFL season on NBC Thursday, September 8th at 8:30 p.m. Eastern Time/ 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time. Country star Dierks Bentley will be opening that major event— more on that here.
