Country music artist Blake Shelton and girlfriend Gwen Stefani‘s Christmas gift-giving strategies have proven to be a bust this year after three years as a couple.
“It’s so hard! He has everything,” Stefani shared about finding the perfect gift for her love while appearing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Thursday (Dec. 6), “I feel like we’re both sitting there going, ‘Promise me you’re not going to get me anything. Let’s just not get gifts this time.’“
Originally, Gwen was planning to surprise Blake with a leaf blower but accidentally sabotaged herself by including him on a group text regarding her plan. Hilariously enough, Blake had already bought himself a leaf blower shortly before discovering his girlfriend’s intentions.
Blake’s plans for Gwen’s gift also hit the skids. He wanted to buy her a jacket that she thought was ‘too expensive,’ but she ultimately splurged on it and had it sent to her home to try on.
“When it came, he was like, ‘I got you that! That’s your Christmas present!’,” Gwen recalled.
