The nominations for the 2021 Billboard Music Awards have been announced! Rising country music star Gabby Barrett is a nine-time finalist and the female artist with the most nods, including top new artist! Although Morgan Wallen is a finalist six times across five categories, he won’t be appearing during this year’s ceremony.
“Morgan Wallen is a finalist this year based on charting. As his recent conduct does not align with our core values, we will not be including him on the show in any capacity (performing, presenting, accepting),” dick clark productions shared in a statement.
The 2021 Billboard Music Awards will air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles May 23rd at 8pm ET on NBC.
