PEOPLE's 100 Reasons to Love America list has put country music singer-songwriter Carrie Underwood at No. 1! More here...
Country music superstar Carrie Underwood has landed at the very top of PEOPLE‘s 100 Reasons to Love America list and on the magazine’s cover! After weathering a roller coaster last few years, the Oklahoman is back in the spotlight and stronger than ever!
“I put a lot of stress on myself — I feel like a lot of moms do, a lot of women do,” the star admits, adding, “the best moments in my life are when I say, ‘Hey, I can’t control everything, and that’s okay. God is in control.’”
As fans know, the singer-songwriter suffered a fall outside her Nashville home in November 2017 while taking her two dogs out. The incident left her with a broken wrist and facial injuries that required stitches. While the public knew about her accident, the star was facing a lot more behind the scenes.
In September 2018, Underwood shared that she’d suffered through three heartbreaking miscarriages in the span of less than two years. After so much pain, Carrie and her husband Mike Fisher finally got some happy news.
“We heard that everything was okay and I was pregnant with Jacob,” Carrie expressed. “He’s just this perfect little bundle of a smiley guy.”
Fast forward to present day and Carrie is out on her The Cry Pretty Tour 360 with nearly 5-month-old Jacob, 4-year-old Isaiah, and Mike in tow!
“It’s a big awesome mess,” the star confessed about bringing the whole family out on the road.
While balancing everything is a challenge, Carrie is ready to face anything that comes her way.
“There is a thing about motherhood that makes you feel like, ‘Okay, if I can do that, I can do anything,’” she says. “And I feel like I’m a little older, a little wiser. This isn’t my first rodeo.”
