Rory Feek & Indiana Have Returned Home to Tennessee

After the passing of Joey Feek on Friday, Rory Feek and 2-year-old Indiana have gone back to the family farm.

In his most recent blog post which details Joey Feek‘s last moments, Rory Feek stated, “After four-and-a-half months in Indiana, we will soon be back home in Tennessee. Me, and our little one, with our older daughters. It’s hard for me to imagine being there without Joey, but at the same time… it is where she wants us to be. It’s where she will be… She’s gonna be in the mint growing beside our back deck, the sweet-corn frozen in our freezer and a million other places that her hand and heart has touched around our little farmhouse and community. Joey will still be with us. Everywhere.”

True to his word, the family left Alexandria, Indiana and have gone back to their Tennessee homestead. Rory shared the four simply stunning photos below via the Joey+Rory Facebook page.

It’s good to see the inspiring family back in the comfort of their own surroundings and remembering Joey in so many touching ways. They are a tough bunch and we hope to continue seeing them on their journey through life. Rory has expressed the fact that he will no longer sing without his wife, but we certainly hope he continues penning beautiful music.

According to Joey’s memorial page, “In the days before her death, Mrs. Feek said her greatest hope for her daughter was that she grew up with no fear and that she was able to fall in love, get married and live independently near her father.”

We all hope her wishes come true. Rest in peace, Joey (September 7, 1975 – March 4, 2016).
