Yes, Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood broke into song too.

When megastar vocalists Garth Brooks and wife Trisha Yearwood team up for a duet— magic happens. The successful pair embarked on the record-shattering The Garth Brooks World Tour back in 2014 and are still going strong on the road. Speaking of musical soulmates, let’s talk Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn.

In this preview of PBS’ American Masters – Loretta Lynn: Still a Mountain Girl, the modern country music power couple chat about the hit-making chemistry between Conway and Loretta and the remarkable songs they created together. They also discuss 83-year-old Loretta Lynn‘s outstanding career and the mark she’s left on the country music genre. On March 4th, the station will debut their new documentary special covering her life story— the date also coincides with the release of her latest album titled Full Circle.

“When Conway and Loretta are sitting there just doing those same waves and everything together,” Brooks reflects. “That’s something I think you can’t get from one of them just doing it by themselves.” Listen to Brooks and Yearwood belt out the legendary pair’s hit “After The Fire Is Gone” at the 2:20 mark below.

It’s so neat to hear Brooks and Yearwood’s commentary on the duo’s intense creative relationship. Again, American Masters – Loretta Lynn: Still a Mountain Girl airs March 4th on your local PBS station. Don’t miss it!
