Dierks Bentley has provided us with a much needed ‘part 2’ following his hit song “Drunk On a Plane” off of his Riser album. The Arizona-born singer’s new single “Somewhere On a Beach” tells us what went down after the party plane reaches its destination.
This first single from 40-year-old Bentley’s Black album features a bluesy feel, guitar riffs, a chorus, and a memorable solo. Like “Drunk On a Plane,” “Somewhere On a Beach” will make the perfect anthem for summer 2016. Fans can expect his new album to go deeper into the crooner’s personal experiences and past romantic relationships.

‘Love gone wrong’ is a common theme in country music. Singing to his ex-partner, Bentley relays that he’s is not in a state of despair— he’s “somewhere on a beach, sippin’ something strong/got a new girl, she got it goin’ on.” This track was co-written by Jaron Boyer, David Kuncio, Josh Mirenda, Alex Palmer, and Michael Tyler Spragg.
