If you love Guitar Hero and Carrie Underwood, then Guitar Hero Live is going to rock your socks off! Activision has just announced its intentions to revive the Guitar Hero name, which has been quiet since 2010. So far, Carrie Underwood is the only country music artist to be confirmed for this Guitar Hero revival.

The country songstress is in good musical company with songs from The Black Keys, Fall Out Boy, My Chemical Romance, Gary Clark, Jr., Green Day, Ed Sheeran, The War on Drugs, The Killers, Skrillex, The Rolling Stones, The Lumineers, Pierce the Veil, and Blitz Kids also being featured in the game. More bands and individual artists will be announced in the coming months.

The Live version will feature a brand new guitar controller setup, more sophisticated presentation, and more modern setlist of songs for players to enjoy. Fans are allowed to play from the first-person view of a musician on stage, with on screen bandmates and audience members reacting to how well or poorly you play. GHTV mode is also included, so players can rock along to the music videos of songs in an updated collection of tracks. With GHTV, fans can also compete with their friends in the same room and against players worldwide to see who claims the highest score on a given song,

Just imagine how many Carrie Underwood tracks you and your friends can rock out to in the comfort of your own home…

Guitar Hero Live will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, and some mobile devices this upcoming fall. We can’t wait…
