You would think that after a year of being in a confirmed relationship that the public would stop caring so much about Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s red hot relationship… not so much. The very public romance between the two unlikely lovers still captures some really outrageous headlines within the supermarket tabloid circuit. (Gwen is up to how many sets of twins now?!)
During a recent interview with all four of The Voice coaches, Carson Daly asked Shelton if he thinks things are finally calming down in the relationship rumor department. The “Came Here to Forget” country star candidly replied, “God I hope so, please I hope so.”
“Any time you see a story about us, it’s either that it’s a fake relationship or that we’re already married. Or we’re gonna get married, or she’s on her second set of twins. Or, you know, I’m sneaking behind her back to eat meat. I eat meat right in front of her face!” Shelton humorously explained.
The pair first met in 2014 when Stefani joined the coaching panel of The Voice after Christina Aguilera left the show to have her second baby. In 2015, both Shelton and Stefani divorced their respective partners, country music star Miranda Lambert and rocker Gavin Rossdale.
“In people’s defense, I think it’s so hard for people to wrap their head around why Gwen would want to be with me. I don’t blame them. I don’t blame them,” Blake sweetly quipped with Gwen quickly responding with, “You’re crazy.”

The timing of Shelton and Stefani crossing paths followed by their high-profile divorces certainly sent speculation into overdrive. No matter reasoning behind their splits, Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s relationship continues to be a special point of interest and we don’t expect that to change anytime soon!
