Jason Aldean has had a fantastic year and has a ton to be thankful for this past Thanksgiving.
In 2015, Jason Aldean found himself marrying Brittany Kerr, playing sold-out arenas, recording a new album, and donating over $600,000 to charity. Needless to say, Aldean has a lot to be thankful for.
His wife also shares in the thankfulness this year.
“My heart has never been more full of happiness and love,” Brittany Kerr posted on Instagram after Aldean’s proposal.
“Can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with this man. So many blessings and memories are in our future and SO thankful I get to share them with him. Thanks for all the support and kind words y’all have given us.”
Aldean remains grounded in his gratitude though, he knows that things come and go and you need to be constant in what you are thankful for.
“You know my thing is pretty much the same every year,” Aldean reflects.
“You know as long as I didn’t have any tragedies happen in my life and my kids are healthy and my family’s healthy, and both my parents are still here. You know all that stuff– that’s about all I can ask for at this point.”
Of course his successful music career makes the thankful list too.
“Being able to do this for another year and everybody allowing us to keep doing this is obviously high on the list too,” he points out. “But the fact that I haven’t had any big tragedies, I guess in my life, losing anybody– that’s a huge thing for me.”
Aldean is already looking towards 2016, where a new tour and new album awaits. He hopes it will be as successful as his recent Burn It Down Tour, which raised $615,000 for the Susan G. Komen Foundation Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
“I know first-hand how important it is to find a cure for breast cancer,” said Aldean.
“For ten years now the fans have been helping us support Komen and I know we’re going to keep it up until nobody has to fight the disease anymore.”
His 2016 tour is named after the song “Gonna Know We Were Here” because it is about how he and his fans live their lives and perfectly describes the excitement he feels while on the road.
Thomas Rhett and A Thousand Horses will be joining the 2016 Gonna Know We Were Here tour with Jason Aldean.
