Dexter Roberts is taking The Voice TV show by storm with several strong performances. Dexter is from Fayette, Alabama and remains a contestant on The Voice TV show on NBC on Blake Shelton’s team. Dexter is 27 years old (born: July 12, 1991). Dexter Roberts previously competed on season 13 of American Idol and took 7th place. After American Idol, Dexter was diagnosed with Rocky Mountain Spotted Tick Fever and had to survive a 5 year fight with this disease to return back to singing. After recovering, he decided to try out for The Voice. The country singer earned a four-chair turn with his performance of “Like a Cowboy” he turned all Voice judges including Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, and John Legend. Dexter selected team Blake Shelton as his Voice coach. .
