The Chris Stapleton‘s Fire Away new music video for his song is more than it appears. The heavy handed content is meant to bring awareness to the issue of mental health through the Campaign to Change Direction.
Ben Foster, who plays the male character in the music video, introduced Stapleton to the mental health awareness organization and the video is an example of what a victim of mental illness goes through.
The female character experiences a change in personality, agitation, withdrawal, decline in personal care and hopelessness, which are the signs of a mental disorder.
