Toby Keith continues to show his support of America's men and women in uniform.

Country music standout Toby Keith‘s support of the United States military is well-known and praiseworthy. The Oklahoma native has been involved in 11 USO Tours, entertaining more than 250,000 men and women in uniform over the span of his career. On May 10th, the singer will thrill the crowd at the 17th hole on the Players Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL during the PGA Players Championship’s Military Appreciation Day.

“I’m extremely excited to honor the men and women who serve our county by performing at the Players Championship,” Keith expressed in a press release. “I have always been a proud supporter of the U.S. military and can’t wait to rock the stage for our troops and their fans.”

Besides Keith’s performance, Military Appreciation Day will include input from military personnel, a flyover by the Florida Air National Guard’s 125th Fighter Wing, and Byron Rowe will sing the National Anthem.

“We’re thrilled to have Toby Keith kick off tournament week at the most famous hole in golf,” shares Michele McManamon, The Players 2016 Volunteer Chairman and co-founder of Tuesday’s Charity of the Day, Operation New Uniform. “The Military Appreciation Day Concert is always a fan favorite, and the new location for 2016 allows us to entertain an even bigger crowd in the incredible, wrap-around atmosphere of 16 and 17. With a superstar like Toby Keith on stage, we know the stadium is going to be rocking.”

The exciting Military Appreciation Day ceremony and concert are free to any Tuesday ticket holder.

Speaking of Toby’s support of the military, twelve years ago today marks his tune “American Solider” hitting No. 1 on the charts. The patriotic tune remained at top of the charts for five weeks in 2004.
