Tim McGraw has released a sentimental lyric video for his first single off his upcoming album.

Tim McGraw keeps it sweet with the first single from a yet-to-be-named upcoming project.

“Top of the World” is a love song in the most sincere fashion, with McGraw saying that his love for his partner makes him feel like he is on top of the world.

“‘Cause when ya got love like we got love / I’m holding onto heaven, holding onto you / When you got one like I got one / Anywhere you’re looking it’s a hell of a view / Don’t know where we’re gonna be / But I know we’re gonna be / Sittin’ on top of the world / So keep hanging on to me / Yeah, don’t you wanna be / Sittin’ on top of the world.”

The lyrics have now been backed up by a very sentimental and simplistic lyric video. The video features McGraw alone with the tools of his trade. He is going through old Polaroids and reminiscing about the love in his life.

McGraw is very proud of the song and the new album, which is due out fall of this year.

“I think music is always a progression — it kind of shows where you’ve gone, where you’re at and where you’re going. And that’s what I try to do with my music. Art reflects life, life reflects art — you know the old saying. And that’s certainly true when you’re making music, just about as much as anything,” McGraw says.

“Music sort of puts you in a place in time. All I try to do is get better in the studio and get better as an artist, get better as a communicator and try to please myself as much as anything.”

McGraw is currently on his 2015 Shotgun Rider Tour, with Billy Currington and Chase Bryant along as opening acts, through mid-September.
