Country music’s most powerful couple is about to make their love story even sweeter because they are finally making an album together. On October 6th, which just so happened to be their 21st wedding anniversary, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill officially announced their collaboration on a new album titled The Rest of Our Life. It will be their first-ever album together after long and successful solo careers, including joining each other on the road for their current Soul2Soul Tour.
That’s not all they are sharing. The couple just released the title track and its music video, which features some sweet glimpses into their love life. It also shows the good and the bad parts of married life as they get into an argument on their way to a fancy event. The lyrics are powerful, and even though Hill runs off, McGraw meets up with her again and they make up.

The love song was written by Grammy-winner Ed Sheeran, alongside Amy Wadge, Johnny McDaid and Steve Mac. In a recent radio interview, Hill discussed the time when she first heard the song. It took her back to the day she and McGraw decided to get married after quickly falling in love when they met on his 1996 Spontaneous Combustion tour.
“I think both Tim and I agree the first time we heard that song,” Hill shared with CMT, “it immediately reminded me of us, and the feeling that we had the first time that we admitted and decided that we were going to be married. [That] we are going to do this, and there was a comfort and a security about that moment that resonates in this song.”
Her husband agreed, adding that the song’s intimacy immediately grabbed his attention. “It’s got such an intimacy to the song, and I think that’s what really attracted us as well,” he said. In a recent Instagram post, he also shared some behind the scenes footage and a brief description of what the video means to him.
The album features 11 tracks, also including their hit duet, “Speak to a Girl,” which came out in June earlier this year and was nominated for a CMA Award. Check out the full album when it is released later this fall!
