Tim McGraw and Faith Hill‘s new single “Speak To A Girl” is racing up the Billboard charts. It is their highest charting song to debut on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart as a married couple, reaching No. 19 quickly.
Previously, the duo’s highest joint debut on the chart was No. 35 with “It’s Your Love” in 1997, though it would eventually rise to the No. 1 spot. “Speak To A Girl” is McGraw and Hill’s sixth song to hit the Country Airplay chart. It is also their first chart appearance together since 2014 with “Meanwhile, Back at Mama’s.”
Adding to that, it also had newfound success on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, reaching No. 33. The new tune is their seventh song to hit this Billboard chart. It surpassed their other recent single “Keep Your Eyes On Me,” which is featured in the movie soundtrack for The Shack and peaked at No. 44.
Listeners enjoyed the duo’s “Speak To A Girl,” which was released on March 23, and were quite impressed with it’s emotional lyrics. However, it is more impressive that the song reached so high on the Billboard charts because it was released in the middle of the week. In short, “Speak To A Girl” had half as much time to climb the charts and earn sales as all of the other songs that were released that week. Impressive!
