Country music superstar Thomas Rhett’s “Look What God Gave Her” lyric video will have you singing along to this romantic tune. As revealed last week, Rhett’s upcoming fourth studio album, Center Point Road, will drop on May 31st!
The singer-songwriter fills us in on his new single talking to Big Machine Label Group, “I think I played this song 2,000 times in a month after we first wrote it. It makes me want to dance. It makes me want to move. And to me, the song really is a celebration of how awesome my wife is. I know I’ve done that in the past, but I’ve never really done it in an uptempo way.”
Serving as a little sneak-peek as to what’s to come, Rhett describes this fun-loving tune as, “the perfect song to take fans into summer.” He also says that the release of this new single is a perfect segue to introduce his next project. Thomas Rhett is the gift that keeps on giving. The track features a novel electro-country sound accompanied by layers of harmony and vocal hook smoother than butter. Thomas Rhett co-wrote the upbeat infectious tune with Rhett Akins, Julian Bunetta, John Ryan, and J Cash.
Thomas continued, “I was really glad we were able to nail this one. My wife [Lauren Akins] is so beautiful, but at the same time she’s inwardly beautiful, she’s funny, she’s kind, she’s the best mom I know … and she’s hilarious. It’s really just about thanking God for the human being He made, and singing it in a fun way.”
