Ashton Kutcher’s “The Ranch” series on Netflix is always alluding to country music and hit artists, so the clock was ticking before one of the biggest names in country made an appearance— Part 4, Episode 2 features award-winning country star Thomas Rhett!
The country sensation made his acting debut on that episode and killed his role! After all, who better to play Thomas Rhett than Thomas Rhett himself!?
In this episode, Ashton Kutcher’s character, Colt, and Elisha Cuthbert’s character, Abby, not only get to go to a Thomas Rhett concert but they totally hit the jackpot and get some meet and greet passes! The couple has an awkward conversation with the country star and Abby even asks him to sign her chest. Thomas Rhett politely declined the offer, of course.
As the episode continues Colt tries, to get Thomas Rhett on board with pulling off a surprise proposal for Abby, but is met with no success. Colt then eagerly jumps on stage with the star, but is quickly met with Rhett’s right cross— bet fans didn’t know the lovable country singer had that in him!
Thomas Rhett posted via Instagram about his appearance on “The Ranch” captioning the behind the scenes image, “Made my acting debut on @theranchnetflix part 4 earlier this year.. y’all check it out!!.”
Recently TR posted a picture of himself working some new moves— proving that his fighting skills are the real deal!
Aside from his acting debut, Thomas Rhett recently released the music video for his newest single, “Marry Me.” The music video portrays exactly what the lyrics of the song convey— a friendship with a promise of something more in jeopardy because the girl is on the brink of marrying someone else. Watch the new music video with a surprising twist below!
“Marry Me” Lyrics
She wants to get married, she wants it perfect
She wants her grandaddy preaching the service
Yeah, she wants magnolias out in the country
Not too many people, save her daddy some money
Ooh, she got it all planned out
Yeah, I can see it all right now
I’ll wear my black suit, black tie, hide out in the back
I’ll do a strong shot of whiskey straight out the flask
I’ll try to make it through without crying so nobody sees
Yeah, she wanna get married
But she don’t wanna marry me
I remember the night when I almost kissed her
Yeah, I kinda freaked out, we’d been friends for forever
And I always wondered if she felt the same way
When I got the invite, I knew it was too late
And I know her daddy’s been dreading this day
Oh, but he don’t know he ain’t the only one giving her away
I’ll wear my black suit, black tie, hide out in the back
I’ll do a strong shot of whiskey straight out the flask
I’ll try to make it through without crying so nobody sees
Yeah, she wanna get married
But she don’t wanna marry me
She got on her dress now, welcoming the guests now
I could try to find her, get it off of my chest now
But I ain’t gonna mess it up, so I’ll wish her the best now
So I’m in my black suit, black tie, hiding out in the back
Doing a strong shot of whiskey straight out the flask
I’ll try to make it through without crying so nobody sees
Yeah, she wanna get married
Yeah, she gonna get married
But she ain’t gonna marry me
Whoa, she ain’t gonna marry me, no
