On Sunday, September 10th, country music star Thomas Rhett will be acting as a judge for the 2018 Miss America competition. Joining the singer-songwriter will be singer Jordin Sparks, People and Entertainment Weekly Editorial Director Jess Cagle, and actress-model Molly Sims.
“Hopefully I can just read the question very good,” Rhett joked with multiple media outlets about his unique gig. “I don’t know how much judging is actually involved, but I get to read some questions and evaluate the answers.”
Rhett isn’t the first male country artist in recent history to serve on competition’s judging panel, Cole Swindell and Brett Eldredge performed the duty in 2016 and 2015, respectively.
The 2018 Miss America competition will air on ABC at 9 PM ET. Just two days before taking on his judging duties, Rhett will release his third studio album, Life Changes, on September 8th.
