Thomas Rhett had a monumental 2017 and after all his success, he wishes he could go back and share some advice with his younger self. More here!

Country music star Thomas Rhett has quickly become a well-known artist who has established his place at the top of the country music industry. Though his father Rhett Akins is a seasoned county artist, Thomas insists that his rise to stardom wasn’t all smooth sailing.

As for advice Thomas would give his younger self, he says “I would tell myself not to worry as much. It’s so easy as an artist to think every little moment is going to be your downfall. Whether you cut the wrong song or the song didn’t go Top 10, obviously those things can affect your career, but I think I would just go back and tell myself, ‘Dude, just chill out and enjoy yourself rather than just always worrying about what’s to come.’ [Just to] really try to sit there and enjoy the good things when they happen.”

TR has had plenty of good times to enjoy this past year. The “Die A Happy Man” singer-songwriter headlined his first major tour, welcomed two daughters into his family with wife Lauren, and dropped his Life Changes album.

“Unforgettable” and “Craving You” from Life Changes have both peaked at No. 1 and the album as a whole scored Thomas with his first No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The Georgia native also selected “Marry Me” his newest single. Enjoy the bittersweet music video below!

2018 is sure to be filled with excitement for the country singer as he gets ready to embark on his Life Changes tour as well as joining Kenny Chesney during some of his stadium shows.
