Both Fuentes and Navaira grew up in in San Antonio, Texas.  Navaira’s father was the award winning Conjunto musician Emilo Navaira Sr.  Derek James joined the group and hailed from New York City.  James was influenced by rock and Brit-pop with jangly guitars.  In 2015, the group released a pair of digital singles, “I Don’t Want to Know” and “Where Do You Go,” which captured their distinct mix of Rock and Tex-Mex.

The song “River Man” is about letting one’s worries go on the edge of a riverbank. “We wrote River Man about going someplace you love to reset whenever life gets a bit crazy,” the band said. “We’re excited to share the song and continue playing it live for fans.”
