The Bachelor contestant Victoria Fuller got the chance to spend some quality time with Pete Weber.... but things got awkward real fast!
File this one under ‘nightmare date!’ This week’s installment of The Bachelor was especially awkward. Why? Well, Pilot Pete arranged a special one-on-one date with Victoria Fuller at Ohio’s Cedar Point Amusement Park and the pair wound up being entertained by country music star Chase Rice— Victoria’s ex. Pete had no idea about the connection while Victoria and Chase were obviously surprised by the situation…
Oh, that was really painful to watch! Needless to say, Chase wasn’t thrilled about being the musical entertainment for this particular date. Although he knew beforehand that his former love interest was a contestant, the star was confident that The Bachelor producers wouldn’t have him come into contact with Victoria.
“So I told my manager and my publicist, they were like, ‘don’t even worry about that,’” he shared with the Fitz in the Morning radio show. “‘They’re not going to do that to you, that’s a weird coincidence, but they’re not gonna — there’s no way they would do that to you. They’ve never brought somebody else in like that, surprised the guest on the show.’”
As we all know now, Chase found himself in some drama but did his best to stay out of it.
“So the fact they did that to me, it’s over the top, it’s unnecessary, I didn’t expect it,” he continued. “But at the end of the day, it happened.”
“I don’t know if it’s the producers, or if they just got lucky. I know what I think, but I’ll let everybody else figure out what they think,” he added, confessing that he “was really pissed off” because he agreed to perform on the show just so he could promote his songs, “Lonely If You Are” and “Eyes on You.”
“Eyes on You” Lyrics
We’ve been to both Carolinas
Seen a big Montana sky
Driven up and down the coast a few times
London, Paris, paradise
But I ain’t got much memory of the scenes, come to think
I miss them all every damn time
It’s all your fault
No matter where we go
No matter what we do
If you’re there, girl, I’ve got my eyes on you
Don’t matter where we’ve been
No, there ain’t no better view
Than you in my arms with my eyes on you
With my eyes on you
With my eyes on you
With my eyes on you
With my eyes on you
Speaking of the coast, remember Pfeiffer Beach?
You and me, that sunset, cliffs by the sea
And the night rolled in
And you still talk about that moon that I can’t recall
But God I saw
All I needed to
Might as well have stayed in the room
No matter where we go
No matter what we do
If you’re there, girl, I’ve got my eyes on you
Don’t matter where we’ve been
No, there ain’t no better view
Than you in my arms with my eyes on you
With my eyes on you
With my eyes on you
With my eyes on you
With my eyes on you
Don’t you remember Times Square?
And people counting down everywhere
Two thousand whatever, no, I didn’t care
‘Cause, baby, you were there
And once again
Couldn’t help but stare
No matter where we go
No matter what we do
If you’re there, girl, I’ve got my eyes on you
Don’t matter where we’ve been
No, there ain’t no better view
Than you in my arms with my eyes on you
Halfway around the world
Or the local corner booth
Yeah, you guessed it, girl
You know I got my eyes on you
We could be on any street
Any party, any room
I’ll be there all night with my eyes on you
Don’t matter where we’ve been
No, there ain’t no better view
Than you in my arms with my eyes on you
