When asked about his upcoming wedding, Scotty McCreery told Taste of Country, “It’s coming up before we know it. The countdown is on.” “I think the stress level is rising just a bit because the wedding is pretty soon,” Scotty said.
“The invites are heading out and we are doing some taste tests here in the next week or so,” McCreery added. “The last few days I’ve gotten a handful of things done here in North Carolina. Like, one of my many responsibilities has been getting the wine. We are getting them from the Biltmore, so I’ve been busy doing that.”
“I’m excited but it’s starting to turn into a bit of a nervous excitement for the both of us as the date gets closer,” McCreery admits. The country singer also added that the happy couple will begin sporting customized wedding rings any day now. “It’s a huge step for us. I mean, we have truly grown up together and I look forward to learning even more about each other once we are married. I’m excited to come home to her instead of a house filled with guys. I mean, I love my guys but…”
Sunday’s 2018 ACM Awards were extra exciting for the North Carolina native for a couple of reasons. First, he was thrilled to finally have his gorgeous fiancee, Gabi Dugal, accompany him on the red carpet. In the days leading up to the event, Scotty McCreery said, “I’m excited, It will be Gabi’s first time to walk the red carpet with me at the ACM Awards.”
Of course, the 24-year-old also could not wait to see if his former American Idol rival-turned-friend, Lauren Alaina, rock the stage alongside Kane Brown on “What Ifs.” “I’ve said from the beginning that she has one of the best voices in Nashville, so seeing her incredible talent be recognized is really cool,” Scotty said.
The happy couple got engaged last September. However, the official wedding date has not been made public.
