Despite the wedding still being months away, Scotty McCreery is already a part of the Dugal family. The country singer popped the question to longtime girlfriend Gabi Dugal last fall and recently released a song sharing their engagement story titled “This Is It.”
One of Scotty’s favorite parts about joining forces with the Dugals is that his family is growing. In fact, Gabi’s sister is pregnant and due in only a matter of days. In the picture below, Scotty and Gabi pretended to make their stomachs pop to mimic Gabi’s sister. Don’t worry, they were asked to look pregnant, “we were all just poking fun at the fact that Paige had a big ol’ belly,” Scotty said. “She wanted us all to poke our bellies out. That’s all that was. Her sister. Not us!”
“This is the first baby in the family, “Scotty continues. “[Gabi] will be an aunt after this, and I’ll be Uncle Scoot in a couple months.” Uncle Scoot? That’s right! “I want to be Uncle Scooter. That’s what I’m gonna go by.”
How cute is that? He already knows what he wants to be called by his future nieces and nephews. Also, Uncle Scoot is not scared of being a good influence on the kids, “I think it’s going to be good training. I think I’m going to be a cool uncle, if I had to guess. I think my nephew would love hanging out with me. I’d throw the ball with play a little golf, teach him all the man things. Eric will cover all that mainly, I’m sure. I think it’d be fun.”
The baby is due on March 16th, the same day Scotty McCreery will be dropping his forthcoming album, Seasons Change. Over the weekend, McCreery dropped another single from the album, “This Is It.” The track takes listeners and fans step by step through the process leading up to Scotty and Gabi’s engagement!
