Despite grand success on his previous three records, Seasons Change is extra special to the country singer. “For the first time, I wrote all the songs on my album,” McCreery shared during in a recent press interview. “It’s kind of my journal of the last few years: the ups and the downs. Whenever I think things are not going well, I’ve learned to just wait it out because the seasons change. If you want to know who I am and where I’m at right now, listen to this album. I feel like I’m having a conversation with everyone that listens. It’s that personal.”
One of the North Carolina native’s favorite tracks on the album is titled “This Is It.” The song takes listeners step by step through Scotty and Gabi Dugal‘s engagement process. From their thoughts leading up to the big question to the lovely landscapes at the place where McCreery knelt down on one knee, “This Is It” tells the attractive couple’s engagement story perfectly.
