Rising Country star Lauren Duski has delivered some stellar performances for team Blake on The Voice.

Watch the highlights for rising country star Lauren Duski as she performs for team Blake on The Voice.   For the first Blind Audition, Lauren performed “You Were Meant for Me”.  Lauren is from Gaylord, Michigan and recently moved to Nashville to further her aspiring Country Music career.   This song was Jewel’s hit song back in 1996.   Lauren was able to convince Levine, Stefani and Shelton to all turn their chairs and compete for Lauren to join their team.   Duski went the predictable country route and selected Blake Shelton as her coach.

The Voice 2017 Battle – Brennley Brown vs. Lauren Duski: “Better Man”

Duski did an outstanding job covering the 2016 Little Big Town tune “Better Man”.  Blake Shelton picked Lauren Duski in this duet battle.  Levine and Stefani tried to rescue Brown.

Knockout Round: Lauren Duski vs. Andrea Thomas

Duski performed  “When You Say Nothing At All,” that was a 1995 country hit for Alison Krauss.   Irish singer Ronan Keating also turned the song into a pop hit in 1999 when it was featured in the film “Notting Hill.”   Thomas picked a pop version of “Cry” that was a 2002 country hit for Faith Hill that reached #1.

Lauren Duski Live Playoff 1: “Someone Else’s Star”

Lauren performed  “Someone Else’s Star” which had been a country No. 1 for Bryan White back in 1995.  Blake Shelton stated, “You are going to see from that performance a tidal wave of support from country music fans, mark my words.”    Blake was proven correct as Lauren won the public vote.

The Voice 2017 Lauren Duski – Top 12: “Lord, I Hope this Day Is Good”

Lauren delivered a very strong performance with her version of Don Williams‘ “Lord, I Hope This Day Is Good.”  This song hit #1 in 1981 and has also been covered by Anne Murray and Lee Ann Womack.  Guest coach Shania Twain stated, “I think this song was so perfect for you. You have a real true spirit, an honest spirit. This is a song you could have written.” And Blake Shelton was a fan of the performance stating, “All this girl needs is a microphone and a country song, and she lights the place up. I’ve been waiting on somebody like this here.”

Lauren Duski “Somewhere in My Broken Heart”

Watch Lauren Duski wow the audience with her take on Billy Dean’s “Somewhere in My Broken Heart”.  This 1991 song reached No. 3 on the Country charts and was also covered by Randy Travis.   Lauren did team Blake proud with this performance:
