Country music singer-songwriter Cole Swindell's “Right Where I Left It” music video takes us to his hometown of Bronwood, Georgia! Watch it here.
In celebration of hitting five years as a recording artist, country music star Cole Swindell has released the music video for “Right Where I Left It”. The song was written by Swindell alongside Cole Taylor and Michael Carter. It is featured on the star’s upcoming Down Home Sessions V EP.
The video “Right Where I Left It,” directed by Michael Monaco, takes Swindell back to his roots –to his hometown of Bronwood, GA visiting the people places that shaped him. Reflecting on the memories of his hometown he sings “I guess sometimes you don’t know what you got till you’re gone. Couldn’t wait to get out. Had to chase some dreams down, ain’t it funny how I found all I needed right where I left it.”
“I’ve always been so proud of growing up in Bronwood, Georgia,” said Swindell. “I left Bronwood to go to college and then left Georgia altogether to chase this dream of becoming a songwriter and an artist and travel the world. I feel so blessed to have been able to do and accomplish all I have, but it didn’t take long for me to realize none of it would have been possible if it weren’t for where I grew up, the way I grew up and the people I grew up with. I didn’t get to include everyone but there are so many people in this video that have been influential in my life and I don’t think I would be here without all of them. I hope folks can relate it to where they are from and always know you can go home.”
Rust on the water tower
White steeple in the blue sky
Takes more than forty hours
To make it to a Friday night
State champs ’95
Right there on the welcome sign
That little home town of mine
Is right where I left it
Since I left it ain’t changed at all
I guess sometimes you don’t know
What you got till you’re gone
Couldn’t wait to get out
Had to chase some dreams down
Ain’t it funny how I found all I needed
Right where I left it
Yeah, right where I left it
County road, roadside cotton
Sun settin’ with the windows down
This feeling, almost forgot it
But it’s comin’ back to me now
Almost lost who I was
That’s what this big world does
Turns out everything I love
Is right where I left it
Since I left it ain’t changed at all
I guess sometimes you don’t know
What you got till you’re gone
Couldn’t wait to get out
Had to chase some dreams down
Ain’t it funny how I found all I needed
Right where I left it
Right where I left it
I know now why those two lanes
Run in and out two ways
So they could bring me back some day
Thank God this place is right where I left it
Yeah, right where I left it
Since I left it ain’t changed at all
I guess sometimes you don’t know
What you got till you’re gone
Couldn’t wait to get out
Had to chase some dreams down
Ain’t it funny how I found all I needed
Right where I left it
State champs ’95
Right there on the welcome sign
Yeah, it’s all right where I left it
