Reba McEntire's "Stronger Than The Truth" lyrics speak honestly about the heartbreaking truth of dealing with pain that comes with relationship turmoil.

Reba McEntire Stronger than the Truth song has been released as an audio video.  The three-time Grammy Award winner, Reba McEntire has released a new song and it is heartbreakingly relatable to anyone who has been through a break up.

Released on February 15th, “Stronger Than The Truth” relates back to 2015 when the songstress and husband of 26 years, Narvel Blackstock, split. The divorce was not Reba’s idea, as she admitted in an interview in 2016. “I didn’t want it in any shape, form, or fashion,” she says honestly. The singer’s lyrics speak of the relatable pain that comes with starting over and letting go. “You never think it’d be your story when you’re pulling the wool off your eyes you know, you think you know somebody then you don’t and you don’t know why” Reba sings.

Reba McEntire Stronger Than The Truth Audio

“Stronger Than The Truth” was written by Hannah Louise Blaylock (formerly of Eden’s Edge) and Reba’s niece, Autumn McEntire. The single makes up the title of her forth coming album, which will be released on April 5th, just two days before McEntire appears as a host for the ACM Awards.

Though the lyrics may be distressing, fans will be happy to hear that the powerhouse country vocalist is indeed ‘stronger’ since her divorce and is back in the dating game, as she has been enjoying life alongside boyfriend Anthony (Skeeter) Lasuzzo. The two stepped on the red carpet together for the first time at the 2018 Grammy Awards, and have been sharing their fun times through social media ever since. “Stronger Than the Truth” Lyrics

I never dreamed of wantin’ more
Than a small town, simple life
A little money in our pockets
You’re my husband, I’m your wife

But then I fell in icy water
Standing in the grocery line
I overheard my name and yours
And one I did not recognize

Now everything I thought I knew is walking out the door
There’s a bottle on the table tellin’ me the only thing I know for sure

Is there’s not a sound, a sound as loud as silence
There’s not a blade sharper than a lie
There’s not a low lower than being the last one to know
You got a brand new start with someone new
And there’s no whiskey stronger than the truth

You never think it’d be your story
When you’re pulling the wool off your eyes
You know, you think you know somebody
Then you don’t and you don’t know why

Havin’ me another won’t make the clock rewind
But I’m drinking every drop knowing what I’m looking for I’ll never find

There’s not a sound, a sound as loud as silence
There’s not a blade sharper than a lie
There’s not a low lower than being the last one to know
Oh, you got a brand new start with someone new
And there’s no whiskey stronger than the truth

The only thing I can do
Is pour a glass and pretend
That this pain’s gonna end

There’s not a sound, a sound as loud as silence
There’s not a blade sharper than a lie
There’s not a low lower than being the last one to know
Oh, you got a brand new start with someone new
And there’s no whiskey stronger than the truth
No, there’s no whiskey stronger than the truth
